East Boys Fall to Perkiomen Valley 59-38
A slow start wound up costing the Patriots as they tried to play catch up at home.
After an overtime loss at the buzzer last night to North Penn, the Central Bucks East boys started slow against Perkiomen Valley and never really got going, as they lost 59-38.
The Patriots did not look ready for today's game, and it seemed last night was still on their minds. They let the Vikings put together a 10-0 run to start the game. After a timeout to try and regroup, the Partiots soon found themselves trailing 15-2 in the first. For the rest of the game, they were trying to make up for their slow start.
"Our guys just weren't ready to play. We dug a hole and we couldn't get out of it," coach Erik Henrysen said after the loss.

The Vikings did not let up at all, continuing to play solid defense. They eventually took a four-point lead into halftime and it seemed as though the Patriots had dug their way out of that early hole.
"We had a couple good stretches but we have to be able to build on those," senior forward Scott Shields said.

But their woes continued in the second half.
In the third period, the Patriots put up only four points, while the Vikings, who had been shooting well all night, continued right where they left off in the first half.
They were led by junior forward Terrance Thinna, who had 11 points. They also made the most of their trips to the line while the Patriots found themselves in foul trouble twice. Towards the end of the game, that proved costly. They finished shooting 10 for 15 from the line and it helped the secure the win early on in the fourth quarter.
The lone bright spot for the Patriots was senior guard DJ Beausejour who continued to put together a good season as he scored 11 points and had three rebounds after he was shut down by the Vikings defense in the first half.
"We just were not shooting well. If we aren't shooting well then we tend to lose focus," Henrysen added.
The Patriots, who fall to 0-3, now get ready for Hatboro-Horsham next week.
