New Family Restaurant And Bar Coming To Doylestown
Plans for a new family restaurant and bar in the heart of Doylestown Borough took a significant step forward on Monday. The Doylestown Borough Council voted unanimously to approve the inter-municipal transfer of a restaurant liquor license from a restaurant and pub in Bristol to 50 North Main Street in Doylestown Borough. Michael and Joy Grafenstine of Huntingdon Valley are planning to open a higher-end, family-oriented restaurant serving creative American fare at the former site of the Waters Edge Winery and Bistro.

Yardley Business Recognized With Environmental Award
A Yardley Borough business has received recognition from its neighboring community. Yardley Borough Mayor Caroline Thompson appeared at the Lower Makefield Township Board of Supervisors last week as the Yardley Refillery was recognized with the township's EAC Environmental Stewardship Award. Thompson said the award includes a plaque and a $1,000 stipend, which the refillery then donated to The River Keepers Network. "And thanks to Lower Makefield Township for reaching across municipal lines to recognize our gem."

Little Devils Reopens At New Location
Little Devils, a quick-service restaurant, has reopened in Dublin at the Plaza at 161 North Main Street. The eatery was previously located at the nearby "Station." "Happy to remain in Dublin and excited to serve you all once again," the owners wrote on Facebook. Little Devils is the sister establishment to Maxwell's on Main (MOMs) in Doylestown Borough and Devils Acre Tavern in Plumsteadville.

Auto Dealer Challenging Kids To 'Draw The Future'
The Thompson Organization announced the return of its annual Draw the Future contest for 2026. The competition aims to inspire young artists by inviting students in kindergarten through sixth grade to design their vision of future vehicles. The contest has been a tradition for over 30 years. Participants are encouraged to create designs ranging from eco-friendly concepts to imaginative, out-of-this-world creations. The contest emphasizes creativity in all submissions. Every student who participates will receive a limited-edition 2026 Draw the Future t-shirt. All submitted artwork will be displayed at Thompson dealership locations in Doylestown. The organization includes Thompson Toyota, Lexus, and BMW in Doylestown.

Franklin Mills Mall Reopens Following Fire
The Franklin Mills Mall reopened on Friday after being temporarily closed due to a small fire that occurred within a single tenant space last weekend, mall officials said. The mall — located near Interstate 95 and Woodhaven Road near the Bucks County border and Bensalem Township — has resumed normal operating hours, officials said. As standard practice, the City of Philadelphia Department of Licenses & Inspections issued a temporary closure notice to conduct required inspections to ensure building safety and building structural integrity, mall officials said.
