Free Parking Available On Small Business Saturday In Doylestown

DOYLESTOWN, PA — As an incentive to shop local on Small Business Saturday (November 25), the Bucks County Commissioners have waived the parking fee at its two county-owned parking garages in Doylestown Borough.

Free parking will be available throughout the day at the Broad and Union garage and at the Broad and Court garage on Small Business Saturday.

Founded by American Express in 2010 and officially cosponsored by the Small Business Association since 2011, Small Business Saturday has become an important part of the holiday shopping season for small businesses across the nation and locally here in Bucks County.

Historically, projected spending among U.S. consumers who shop at independent retailers and restaurants on Small Business Saturday reaches an estimated $17.9 billion, according to the 2022 Small Business Saturday Consumer Insights Survey commissioned by American Express.

Doylestown Borough is home to hundreds of small businesses selling everything from toys, homemade chocolates and jewelry to books, furniture, rugs and a whole lot more.

Some of the town's most visible and well known businesses include Busy Bee Toys at 58 East Court Street, the Doylestown Bookshop at 16 South Main Street, Serendipity Shop at 33 South Main Street, Monkey's Uncle at 123 South Main Street, Siren Records on East Court Street, Doylestown Bike Works at 139 South Main, Evolution Candy on East Court Street, Raymer's Handmade Chocolates at 30 East Oakland Avenue, the Paper Unicorn at 2 South Main, Makers off Main on East Court Street and Lillies of the Field at 1 South Main Street.
