BUCKS COUNTY, PA — Stop Overdoses in Pennsylvania Week is set for Dec. 10 to 14. As part of the statewide initiative, overdose reversal medication naloxone will be given out to Pennsylvanians for free on Dec. 13.

There are 71 locations participating statewide, including three in Bucks County. From 11 a.m. - 7 p.m. that day, you can get free naloxone at the following locations:

  • Southern Bucks Recovery Community Center, 1286 Veterans Highway, Bristol
  • Bucks County Drug & Alcohol Commission, Inc., 600 Louis Drive, Warminster
  • Quakertown Branch of the Bucks County Free Library, 401 W. Mill St. Quakertown

“Last year, more than 5,000 Pennsylvanians died from an opioid overdose, and we all have to work together to stop this trend,” Governor Tom Wolf said in a statement about Stop Overdoses in Pennsylvania Week. "While naloxone will stop the overdose, it’s important to also call 911 for additional life-saving help and to get the patient to a hospital.”
