Kutz Students Raise Money For Friend Lost To Cancer

Students at Kutz Elementary School have not forgotten about Dominic Liples.

DOYLESTOWN, PA — Students at Kutz Elementary School have not forgotten about their friend.

The school recently held a Go Gold for Childhood Cancer fundraiser in honor of Dominic Liples, who died last December at the age of 8 after a battle with brain cancer.

The students and school staff raised $1,000 to fight pediatric cancer by wearing sports apparel on Sept. 29, according to information from the Central Bucks School District.

The money will be given to St. Baldrick’s Foundation in Dominic’s name.

The St. Baldrick’s Foundation is a organization that raises money for childhood cancer research. It coordinates signature head-shaving events, where volunteers can "go bald” in solidarity with kids fighting cancer. Participants raise money to support childhood cancer research as part of their commitment to shave their heads.
