Unique New Exhibit Comes To Michener Art Museum

DOYLESTOWN, PA — The latest exhibit at Doylestown's Michener Art Museum is focused on the moon.

"The Color of the Moon: Lunar Painiting in American Art" will be at the museum from June 1 through Sept. 8.

"The Color of the Moon showcases more than 60 paintings and works on paper that illuminate our eternal fascination with the moon and the long and enduring relationship between art and lunar science. Featuring loans from museums and private collections throughout the U.S., this show coincides with the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 mission."

Laura Voolkes, chair of the Hudson River Museum's Curatorial Department, and Bartholomew F. Bland, executive director of the Lehman College Art Gallery, curated the exhibit together.

The Michener Museum is located at 138 South Pine Street.
