Man Serving Life In Jail For Doylestown Murder Kills Cellmate: AP

A man serving a life sentence for a 2013 murder in Doylestown allegedly killed his cellmate last week, the AP is reporting.

A man serving a life sentence for the 2013 murder of a homeless veteran in Doylestown is accused of killing his cellmate, the Associated Press is reporting.

According to the report, Dale Wakefield, who was convicted of killing 71-year-old George Mohr, has been charged with criminal homicide after his cellmate was found dead last week at State Correctional Institution-Somerset.

Joshua Perry, 25, was found deceased under the bed in his cell; his hands were tied behind his back and a sheet was around his neck, the Associated Press said. Authorities say he died of apparent blunt-force trauma.

Wakefield, also 25, is serving a life term without parole in connection with Mohr's death.

This is not the first time Wakfield, a former Doylestown resident, is accused of getting violent with his fellow cellmates.

While previously lodged in Bucks County prison, he stabbed another inmate with a ballpoint pen and was charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault and assault by prisoner. He was held in solitary confinement at Bucks County prison following that incident.
