NOVA schedules events for Crime Victims' Rights Week, Sexual Assault Awareness Month

Network of Victim Assistance will present three events in recognition of Crime Victims' Rights Week and Sexual Assault Awareness Month.

Brave Miss World
This documentary tells the story of 18-year old former Miss World Linor Abargil, who was abducted and raped just prior to the pageant, and her fight to heal and seek justice. Ultimately uplifting, the documentary takes viewers through her inspiring journey from teenage victim to empowered survivor, lawyer and advocate. The film deals with the long-term impact of the victimization, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and Abargil’s fight for victim rights.
