Officials Continue Probe Into Cold Spring Elementary Fire
Information regarding the status of Cold Spring Elementary for Tuesday will be available to parents over the weekend, the district said.

BUCKINGHAM TOWNSHIP, PA — The investigation behind the cause of the fire Wednesday at Cold Spring Elementary School continues. Meanwhile, students can pick up items left behind amid the evacuation between 2 and 5 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 15.
The fire is under investigation by the Bucks County Fire Marshal’s Office and Buckingham Township Police. No one was injured.
The fire started in an unoccupied classroom on the second floor of the school building, according to Buckingham Township police. When firefighters arrived to the scene on Durham Road, smoke was visible and students were evacuated, police said.

"The building's sprinkler system activated and the fire was contained to one classroom," according to police.
Central Bucks School District officials said they are working with a restoration company to mitigate damage to the building. The impacted classrooms have been sectioned off from the rest of the building, and the unaffected areas have been deemed safe, school officials said.

Schools are closed Friday and Monday for the President's Day holiday. Information regarding the status of Cold Spring Elementary for Tuesday will be available to parents over the weekend, the school said.
"Our goal is to provide more information regarding this plan no later than Sunday evening, after we gather more information and can send our next update," Superintendent John Kopicki said.
