Pedestrian Killed By Hit-And-Run DUI Driver On Rt. 611: Police

A 31-year-old man is facing homicide by vehicle while DUI charges in connection with the fatal incident in Warrington on Tuesday evening.

WARRINGTON, PA — A pedestrian was killed by a hit-and-run driver along Rt. 611 in Warrington Tuesday evening, police said. Police later located the striking vehicle in Plumstead Township and the driver is facing charges.

Arturo Guzman-Jimenez, 31, of Gardenville has been charged with homicide by vehicle while under the influence and related charges, court records show.

The fatal incident happened just after 6 p.m. along the 1400 block of Rt. 611, between Kelly Road and Bristol Road. The pedestrian, whose identity has not yet been released, was hit by a white Kia going northbound.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The car did not stop.

Police found a Vehicle Identification Number on a car part that was left at the scene, and were able to locate Guzman-Jimenez about an hour later at his residence. He showed signs of being impaired, police said.

The road was closed for five hours as police investigated. The investigation scene remained active into late Tuesday, and Rt. 611 reopened around 11:15 p.m., police said.

Family members tell 6ABC the victim is 79-year-old Sigrid Davis. She had just been dropped off from a casino bus trip when she was hit, the network reported.

Guzman-Jimenez is currently being held at Bucks County Prison after he was unable to post bail, which was set at 10 percent of $700,000. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Nov. 26.

Court records show this is Guzman-Jimenez's second DUI. He was charged with a DUI in which he had a BAC of .16+ in January 2014.
