Rt. 313 Bridge To Close For Rehab Project

The bridge carrying Rt. 313 over Deep Run just north of Fountainville will close for repairs for two months. Detours will be in place.

Repairs to two central Bucks County bridges are set the begin later this month, and will result in a two-month closure for one on Rt. 313, state officials announced.

Construction is scheduled to begin June 24 on an improvement project to rehabilitate the bridge carrying Route 313 over Deep Run just north of Fountainville. The bridge will close for two months during construction.

The closure starts June 24 and will go through late August, according to PennDOT.

Route 313 will be detoured between Chelfield Road and Applebutter Road in Hilltown Township. During the closure, Route 313 motorists will be detoured over Route 113 (Bedminster Road) and Route 611. Local access will be maintained up to the construction zone.

During the project, contractors will replace the existing structure with a concrete box culvert, mill and pave the roadway, install impact attenuators, and replace the guiderail.

The Butler Avenue bridge over a branch of Neshaminy Creek in New Britain Township will also undergo rehabilitation starting in late June.
