Rt. 313 Bridge Rehab Project Delayed

Work to repair a bridge carrying Route 313 over Deep Run just north of Fountainville has been delayed. The project will cause a portion of the road to close for two months.

PennDOT originally targeted late June for the project start date. However, officials said the project is now expected to begin July 8.

When the work begins, Rt. 313 will be closed from Chelfield Road to Applebutter Road for two-months, PennDOT has said.

During the closure, Route 313 motorists will be detoured over Route 113 (Bedminster Road) and Route 611. Local access will be maintained up to the construction zone.

During the project, contractors will replace the existing structure with a concrete box culvert, mill and pave the roadway, install impact attenuators, and replace the guiderail.
