Terrain At Delaware Valley University Announces Opening Date

DOYLESTOWN, PA — Terrain, a nature-inspired retail store, garden cafe, and private event space, will officially open its doors on the campus of Delaware Valley University on June 29.

This will be Terrain’s eighth location in the United States and its third in Pennsylvania. Its other Keystone State locations are its flagship store in Glen Mills and Devon Yard.

In partnership with Delaware Valley, Terrain will "celebrate and share the rich agricultural history and curriculum of the university by offering fresh goods produced on campus in addition to a full assortment of home and garden products" to the community. Terrain at DelVal is the first for the brand in the Doylestown area.

Terrain will officially open its Doylestown location at 9 a.m. at the former Market at DelVal building at 2100 Lower State Road in Doylestown Township.

Opening weekend festivities will include live music in the Terrain outdoor nursery, live planting demonstrations by the Design by Terrain designers, and seasonal packaged food tastings.

In Doylestown, Delaware Valley University and Urban Outfitters are partnering to bring Terrain to the community.

It will bring many exciting new collaborations in the product, menu, private events, workshops, and beyond. This should be one of Terrain’s most engaging sites to date,” said URBN Executive Director of Menus + Venues, Adam DeAngelo.

The partnership will build upon the school's agricultural foundation and the Terrain brand’s seasonal, experiential approach to retail. Seasonal produce, plants, and farm goods from DelVal will be incorporated into Terrain’s retail store and its restaurant and catering menus.

“We are looking forward to the Terrain opening on June 29th as we celebrate this important partnership with Terrain,” said Delaware Valley University President Dr. Ben Rusiloski. “Our academic, marketing, and facilities teams have worked closely with Terrain over the past year to integrate opportunities for our students in the plans.

“We will have students working at Terrain this summer, and another five students will be starting their paid internships with Terrain shortly, with three here at the Terrain at DelVal, and two at URBN headquarters at the Navy Yard,” said Rusiloski. “We know that the community is ready to welcome Terrain!”

• Terrain Cafe offers a greenhouse dining experience that celebrates the cycle of the seasons and the land's bounty. Using hand-selected local produce, meats, and dairy products, the cafe team takes pride in crafting menus from the seasonal harvest of farmers they know and trust.
