Popular Warrington Nightclub Closes At The Pavilion

The club closed on Sunday at the Warrington Pavilion Shopping Center. Its owner did not give a reason for the closure.

WARRINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — Swig nightclub at the Warrington Pavilion Shopping Center on Easton Road closed its doors permanently on Sunday, according to an announcement posted on the Swig Entertainment Group's Facebook page.

In the post, the club wrote, "We are sad to announce that after eight years, Swig is closing. We thank all of our beautiful customers for all the memories of the last eight years. Thank you for all the love and support you have faithfully shown us. We are grateful for your patronage - celebrating holidays and birthdays, dancing to all the amazing bands and DJs, and spending your weekends with us."

Swig described itself as a "premier dance club playing today's top 40 dance songs" and "one of the best night spots in Bucks County."

The Facebook announcement did not give a reason for the closure.

The post drew a strong response from customers. The club's Facebook page showed 276 comments and 285 reactions after the announcement. Many of the comments described birthdays, nights out, and friendships tied to the venue.

One commenter wrote, "Omg … hate this so much! Swig has always been a favorite for me! Met my guy there .. great memories!” Another wrote, “Thank you for all the beautiful memories and all of our birthday parties. We celebrated there. Thank you, Mannie. You did a wonderful job with the club. I wish you all the best in your future endeavors. We will miss you. Hope to still see you sometime.”

A third commenter posted, “No way!!! That's so sad! I loved it there! So many great bands and the DJ was awesome! Sorry to see it go!”

Many of the comments were directed toward owner Mannie Bet.

One post said, “So glad to have met you Manny! Thanks so much for such wonderful memories with amazing bands, DJ's, food, and drinks! Loved dancing at Swig and made so many new friends! I wish you the best and good luck with everything! Sending positive vibes and hugs!”

Another added, “Oh no, Mannie. You always made the nights out fun and such an amazing staff. Aalways a great time. You are going to be missed.”
