When and Why to Turn Bucks Blue

There is Republican Party craziness everywhere and we know what the solution has to be.

In Pennsylvania the Majority Republicans make the law, pay the bills, process your requests, arrest the felons, push every paper that crosses your business and family life, collect your taxes, run your schools and make policy in your towns.

Many have been in office 20 years or more. Using one technique or another the Republicans have arranged local politics so that they can be assured of staying in office.

The Republican Majority that owns the White House and the U.S. Congress also own the our state Assembly, Bucks County officials and many towns and school boards. When there were Republicans like Lincoln and Eisenhower, it was probably all right to vote Republican. It is not all right now. The current President of the United States stood in front of the crushed survivors of a Force 5 hurricane and threw rolls of paper towels at them! The Vice President spent a quarter of a million dollars to sneer at the civil rights of football players.

The Republican party publicly plans to take away legal protections for people, water, finance and health. Republican supporters of the NRA decide whether people can have assault weapons in your parks. Republican school boards could fall prey to junk science, outlandish payments to vouchers and charters and to the Republican version of “alternative facts”. If the Republicans succeed in making Medicaid a “block grant” to the states, the Republican majority in PA will actually be deciding who gets the money to live!

Republicans are going to be watching the election in November of 2017, and the Primary in May. They will be watching the votes for the Sheriff, Prothonotary, D.A, Recorder of Deeds, and Controller; all the Borough Councils, School Boards, Judges and Township Supervisors. Remember all politics start local. Right now, right here, on November 7, is where we start changing our representation at every level!

It is time for a Democratic sweep; one that will change the pictures on the office walls of the "Forever Republicans". Time to link arms, forge forward, and VOTE TO TURN BUCKS BLUE!
