• Abington Senior High School's Ash Carter Courtyard to receive dedication ceremony on Oct. 1 (glensidelocal.com) — Abington Senior High School will dedicate its new Ash Carter Courtyard on Thursday, Oct. 1, at 4 p.m., opening a 4,000-square-foot gathering space funded by alumni and supporters. The courtyard honors Abington alumnus and former U.S. Defense Secretary Ashton Carter, giving current students, staff, and nearby Glenside families a new outdoor hub right by the school's main entrance.
   

• Abington Township Public Library receives award from The Courage Project, announces new building design partner (glensidelocal.com) — Abington Township Public Library has received a $25,000-recommended grant and recognition from The Courage Project for its inclusive programming, and is moving ahead with a complete redesign of its main building. The library has hired MPdL Studio to plan a modern, sustainable facility and launched a public survey, giving nearby Glenside-area residents a chance to shape future services and spaces.
