• Pennsylvania Tests Nursing Pod at Capitol Complex (mychesco.com) — If you work in or visit the Capitol Complex in Harrisburg, there's now a private nursing pod in the East Wing being tested for wider use in state facilities. The pilot is part of broader accessibility and family-friendly upgrades, including expanded child care, new single-user restrooms, an adult changing table, and free menstrual products in DGS-managed buildings.
   

• Over 50 trail advocates gather at Pennsylvania State Capitol for inaugural Hike Harrisburg (lockhaven.com) — Harrisburg just hosted the inaugural Hike Harrisburg at the State Capitol, drawing more than 50 hikers, trail advocates, and conservation groups to push for better-maintained trails statewide. First Lady Lori Shapiro and other speakers highlighted how Pennsylvania's 14,000 miles of trails boost health, community life, and local economies, and encouraged residents to explore nearby routes.
   

• Bill to ban license plate obstruction moves to Pennsylvania Senate (abc27.com) — From Harrisburg, lawmakers have advanced a bill that would ban any devices that hide or distort license plates, including blackout plates and certain covers that interfere with enforcement cameras. The measure, which passed the House 197–6, now heads to the state Senate and could change what accessories Pennsylvania drivers are allowed to use on their cars.
