19 Theft Cases Reported In 1 Week: Haverford Police Blotter

HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA – Police in Haverford Township issued their latest crime report on Wednesday.

The report covers incidents that occurred between July 3 and July 10.

Notably, police are reporting at least 19 thefts in the township in that time. Police have warned residents of potential Felony Lane Gang activity after a rash of recent vehicle break-ins.

The report also covers arrests made and citations issued in that time frame.

INCIDENTS:

• Theft at the Hangover Caribbean Bar, 1200 block of West Chester Pike, on July 3 at 5:42 p.m. – An unattended purse was stolen.
• Theft at the 200 block of Glen Arbor Road on July 3 at 4:49 p.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered, loose change was stolen.
• Fraud on the 400 block of Llanerch Avenue on July 3 at 11:15 a.m. – Three unauthorized purchases were made with the victim’s debit card.
• Theft on the 100 block of Strathmore Road on July 4 at 8:32 a.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered, two sets of earphones were stolen.
• Theft on the 200 block of Strathmore Road on July 4 at 10:12 a.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered, loose change was stolen.
• Theft on the unit block of Sunny Hill Lane on July 4 at 8:40 a.m. – Victim reported three arborvitae trees were removed from the ground and stolen.
• Theft on the 400 block of Llanerch Avenue on July 4 at 1:30 p.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered, $20 and loose change was stolen.
• Theft at Metro PCS, 1200 block of West Chester Pike, on July 5 at 5:29 p.m. – $450 was stolen from an unattended wallet.
• Theft at Lowe’s, 100 block of W. Township Line Road, on July 6 at 5:52 p.m. – License plate was stolen from a vehicle.
• Attempted Theft on the 300 block of Strathmore Road on July 6 at 2 p.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered, nothing was reported stolen.
• Disorderly Conduct at Smoothie King, 1200 block of West Chester Pike, on July 6 at 2:57 p.m. – A black female, 22, of the 7500 block of Elmwood Avenue, Philadelphia and a black female, 27, 100 block of Long Lane, Upper Darby was cited for disorderly conduct.
• Bicycle Theft on the 1200 block of Darby Road on July 7 at 6:42 a.m.
• Theft at Bryn Mawr Extended Care, 900 block of Railroad Avenue, on July 8 at 10:21 a.m. – Two cell phones were stolen from a bedside table.
• Theft at the 500 block of Furlong Avenue on July 8 at 1:15 p.m. – Victim reported that a person known to him stole $1,200 from his locked bedroom. A white male, 32, of the 500 block of Furlong Avenue, was arrested.
• Criminal Mischief on the 2100 block of Haverford Road on July 8 at 2:02 p.m. – Victim reported that someone cut the branches and damaged a bush on her property.
• Theft on the unit block of Hilltop Road on July 9 at 10:11 a.m. – Victim reported $140 worth of metal materials was stolen.
• Criminal Mischief on the 2000 block of Laurel Road on July 9 at 7:25 p.m. – Vehicle windshield was scratched.
• Retail Theft at Lowe’s, 100 block of West Township Line Road, on July 10 at 2 p.m. – A white male stole $638 worth of merchandise and fled the store.
• Theft at Ardmore Exxon, 2400 block of Haverford Road, on July 10 at 3:15 p.m. – Oakley sunglasses were stolen while they were left unattended in the restroom.
• Theft on the 800 block of Grove Place on July 10 at 12:30 p.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered, a wallet containing social security card, $14 and gift cards was stolen.
• Theft on the 2100 block of Bellemead Avenue on July 10 at 12:12 p.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered, loose change and prescription medication was stolen.
• Theft on the 1700 block of Ridgeway Road on July 10 at 3:35 p.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered, two wallets were stolen.
• Theft on the 1700 block of Ridgeway Road on July 10 at 8:54 a.m. – Vehicle was entered, loose change was stolen.
• Theft on the 700 block of Penfield Road on July 10 at 11:45 a.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered, loose change was stolen.

ARRESTS:

• A white male, 26, 5300 block of Arlington Road, Philadelphia. Charges: Possession of a controlled substance, speeding and suspended driver’s license. Location: 900 block of E. Township Line Road. Date: July 4 at 12:25 p.m.
• A white male, 32, 500 block of Furlong Avenue, Havertown. Charges: Theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property. Location: 500 block of Furlong Avenue. Date: July 8 at 1:15 p.m.
• A black male, 15 was petitioned to juvenile court. Charges: Theft from a motor vehicle, receiving stolen property, prohibited offensive weapons, possession of marijuana and disorderly conduct. Location: Tenby and Bewley Roads. Date: June 29, 2:34 a.m.
• Two black males, 15 were petitioned to juvenile court. Charges: Theft from a motor vehicle, receiving stolen property and disorderly conduct. Location: Tenby and Bewley Roads. Date: June 29 at 2:34 a.m.
