4 DC-Area Residents Robbed Haverford YMCA Lockers: Police

Police said three from Washington DC and one from Baltimore cut locks on YMCA lockers then used credit cards to make illegal purchases.

HAVERTOWN, PA — Four people from the Washington DC area have been arrested and charged in connection with thefts from the Haverford YMCA, police said.

Antranelle Cooper, 28, Marco Morgan, 30, and Antonio McCallister Jr., 25, all of Washington DC and Kimberly Wynn, 32, of Baltimore, were arrested Oct. 6, police said.

At about 3:10 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 6, police were called to the YMCA on North Eagle Road after getting reports of multiple thefts from lockers.

Later at about 4:21 p.m., police were called to the CVS on West Chester Pike after two men tried to buy $2,000 worth of gift cards but the credit card used was declined, police said.

The men left the store and tried to drive off but police stopped the vehicle, police said.

In the vehicle, police found bolt-cutters, two cut locks, the hasp of a third cut lock, a Visa gift cards, a set of padlock keys, and $459, police said.

According to police, YMCA patrons found locks to their lockers were removed, and wallets containing identification, cash, credit and debit cards were stolen.

Police said one victim's credit card was used to make a $2,044 purchase at a CVS store.

Officers checked at the two nearest CVS stores, including the one on West Chester Pike, to find out if such a large purchase had been made.

All four are facing various charges, including identity theft, theft by deception, access device fraud, receiving stolen property, and possess of instruments of crime.
