5th Annual Delco Police K9 Competition Set For Oct 12

Police K9 units in Delaware County will test their skills at the annual K9 Competition in Havertown and the public is invited to watch.

HAVERTOWN, PA — Delaware County's K9 units will test their skills in October at the 5th Annual Delco K9 Competition.

The annual event will be held from noon to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 12 at the Haverford Middle School Field, 1701 Darby Road in Havertown.

Members of the public are invited to attend and cheer on the K9 units, as the event is free and open to the public.

Competitors will run an obstacle course and demonstrate apprehension, recall, and article search skills.

Hot dogs, hamburgers, soft pretzels, and water will be available for sale by Secret Sauce Catering. Proceeds will be donated to local causes supporting police K9s.

T-shirts will be available for purchase, as well.

Personal dogs are not permitted at the competition.
