Armed Robberies: Haverford Police Release Details Of Recent Crimes

Police in Haverford Township issued detailed information on the recent armed robberies that occurred in the Ardmore section of town.

HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Haverford Township issued full details of the recent armed robbery incidents that occurred in the township.

According to police, the first incident occurred at about 10:26 p.m. on Thursday, on the 100 block of County Line Road in Ardmore.

Police said the victim told them that while he was walking to his vehicle, he was approached by a black male who displayed a small handgun and robbed him of his cell phone and wallet.

The suspect then fled the area on foot.

Then at about 10:02 p.m. on Friday, two gunpoint robberies occurred in the area of County Line Road and Nelson Place in Ardmore.

In the first robbery, the reported that while walking, a black male wearing a black ski mask came out of thick bushes holding a black handgun and demanded his cell phone and wallet.

The victim told the suspect that he had neither.

The suspect then pointed the handgun to the victim’s back and told him to walk away.

As the victim ran away, he saw the suspect confront a second person.

The second victim said she was walking and was approached by a white male suspect and black male suspect wearing a dark ski mask.

She told police the suspects asked for her purse, but she said she did not have one.

The victim was then knocked to the ground by the black male suspect, who took her cell phone from her hand.

Both suspects ran to a gray SUV on County Line Road and then fled the area in it.

Both suspects were described to having large builds and were about feet tall.

The black male suspect’s build was similar to the suspect involved in the robbery on Sept. 15, police said
