Assault, Fraud, Theft, More: Haverford Crime Blotter

HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Haverford Township issued their latest crime blotter recently.

Incidents in the blotter occurred between Aug. 10 and Aug. 16.

The blotter also includes arrests made and citations issued.

INCIDENTS

• Theft from Pep Boys, 500 block of West Chester Pike, on Aug. 10 at 1:51 a.m. – inspection and emission stickers were taken by an unknown actor.
• Fraud in the 1700 block of Josie Lane on Aug. 10 at 4:28 p.m. – a check was altered when placed into the mail.
• Criminal Mischief in the 100 block of S. Eagle Road on Aug. 11 at 9:20 p.m. – 44 -year-old female, 100 block of S. Eagle Road, Havertown was cited.
• Fraud in the 400 block of Hill Road on Aug. 12 at 6:34 p.m. – victim purchased a kitten thru Facebook; it was a scam; no money lost.
• Identity Theft in the unit block of Park Ridge Road on Aug. 12 at 5:14 p.m. – victims’ bank account was accessed by an unknown subject.
• Criminal Mischief in the unit block of E. Park Road on Aug. 12 at 8 p.m. – victim states that an unknown subject keyed his vehicle and placed gum behind the driver door handle.
• Theft from Vehicles in the 7000 block of Parkview Drive on Aug. 14 at 2:28 p.m. – vehicles were broken into, items taken while victims were walking the trails.
• Vandalism in the 100 block of Campbell Avenue on Aug. 14 at 7:40 p.m. – victim states that an unknown actor damaged her flagpole and flag.
• Theft in the 1600 block of Darby Road on Aug. 15 at 9:30 p.m. – victim states that catalytic converter was taken from her vehicle.
• Retail Theft at Rite Aid, 1300 block of West Chester Pike, on Aug. 15 at 11:28 a.m. – an unknown subject stole items; investigation ongoing.
• Retail Theft at Giant, 100 block of W. Township Line Road, on Aug. 15 at 2:56 p.m. - an unknown subject stole items; investigation ongoing.
• Fraud in the 900 block of West Chester Pike on Aug. 15 at 11:55 a.m. – a check was altered when placed into the mail
• Fraud in the 1700 block of Melrose Avenue on Aug. 15 at 1:52 p.m. – a check was altered when placed into the mail.
• Disorderly Conduct at Giant, 100 block of West Chester Pike, on Aug. 15 at 8:56 p.m. – 20-year-old female, 2000 block of Darby Road, Havertown was cited.
• Fraud in the 1200 block of Leedom Road on Aug. 16 at 10:42 a.m. - a check was altered when placed into the mail.
• Fraud in the 400 block of Valley Road on Aug. 16 at 5:24 p.m. - a check was altered when placed into the mail.
• Fraud in the 1900 block of West Chester Pike on Aug. 16 at 1:48 p.m. – victim was scammed from an ad on her computer; victim realized before money was taken.

ARRESTS

• 19-year-old male, 1600 block of Ridgeway Road, Havertown. Charges: Simple Assault, Harassment, Disorderly Conduct. Location: Wawa, 1000 block of Darby Road. Date: Aug. 14 at 9:16 p.m.
