Assault, Fraud, Vandalism, DUI, More: Haverford Crime Blotter

HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Haverford Township have issued their weekly crime blotter.

Incidents in the blotter occurred between Jan. 11 and Jan. 17.

The blotter also includes arrests made and citations issued.

INCIDENTS

• Fraud at the 1200 block of West Chester Pike on Jan. 11 at 7:06 p.m.– Victim reported that he received a call from someone claiming to be from the “Police Association”. The caller told the victim he could make a donation by check by providing him with the account and routing numbers. The victim later suspected it was a scam.
• Theft at the unit block of N. Concord Avenue on Jan. 12 at 4:49 p.m.– Victim reported that three packages were stolen from the front porch after they were delivered.
• Identity Theft at the 1200 block of Center Road on Jan. 12 at 5:03 p.m. – Victim reported that someone used his identity to open a Verizon account and purchased an i-phone.
• Theft at the 1100 block of Garfield Avenue on Jan. 13 at 2:06 p.m.– The witness observed an unknown male remove a package from the front of a residence. Police located the male matching the description on West Chester Pike. 30-yearold male was arrested.
• Identity Theft at the 500 block of Upland Road on Jan. 13 at 4:20 p.m.– Victim reported that someone used his identity to open a Verizon account.
• Theft at the 400 block of Colfax Road on Jan. 14 at noon – Vehicle was entered – house keys and approximately $20 was stolen.
• Attempted Theft at the unit block of Derwen Drive on Jan. 14 at 8 a.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered – nothing was reported missing.
• Attempted Theft at the 400 block of Colfax Road on Jan. 14 at 12:38 p.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered – nothing was reported missing.
• Motor Vehicle Theft at the 200 block of Merrybrook Drive on Jan. 14 at 7:26 a.m.
• Fraud at the 400 block of Hastings Road on Jan. 15 at 5:32 p.m. – Victim reported that someone used his credit card to make a purchase through ticket master.
• Vandalism at the 200 block of Brookline Boulevard on Jan. 15 at 6:52 p.m. –
• Victim reported nails in his tires.
• Theft at the 400 block of Colfax Road on Jan. 16 at 3:12 p.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered – sunglasses were stolen.
• Fraud at Swiss Farms, 800 block of N. Eagle Road on Jan. 16 at 9:11 p.m. – An unknown male attempted to make a purchase with a fraudulent credit card.
• Vandalism at the 800 block of Buck Lane on Jan. 16 at 1:55 p.m. – Victim reported damage to a property he is rehabbing. Two doors and windows were broken.
• Theft at the 1200 block of Ellston Road on Jan. 17 at 4:40 p.m. – License plate was stolen from a vehicle.
• Theft at the 1600 block of Ashton Road on Jan. 17 at 2:59 p.m. – Victim observed on his ring door camera an unknown male remove a package from his porch.
• Fraud at the 1700 block of Josie Lane on Jan. 17 at 4 p.m. – Victim reported that someone gained access to his American Airlines account and used 17,500 miles to purchase a ticket.
• Identity Theft at the 1100 block of Garfield Avenue on Jan. 17 at 6:45 p.m. – Someone used the victim’s identity to open a Verizon account.

ARREST

• 23-year-old female, 6200 block of Spruce Street, Philadelphia. Charges: Retail theft. Location: Lowe’s, 100 block of W. Township Line Road. Date: Jan. 11 at 1:31 p.m.
• 30-year-old male, 100 block of Kent Road, Upper Darby. Charges: Receiving stolen property, theft by unlawful taking and possession of an instrument of crime. Location: 1100 block of Garfield Avenue. Date: Jan. 13 at 2:06 p.m.
• 45-year-old female, Homeless. Charges: Bad checks, forgery, access device fraud, identity theft, receiving stolen property, theft by unlawful taking, possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Location: WSFS, 1200 block of West Township Line Road. Date: Jan. 13 at 4:41 p.m.
• 28-year-old male, 1300 block of 4th Avenue, Essington. Charges: Retail theft, possession of controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Location: Kohl’s, 200 block of West Chester Pik. Date: Jan. 14 at 3:17 p.m.
• 40-year-old male, 2700 block of Saint Mary’s Road, Ardmore. Charges: Simple assault, harassment and strangulation. Location: 2700 block of Saint Mary’s Road. Date: Jan. 14 at 7:19 p.m.
• 45-year-old female, unit block of Overbrook Parkway, Wynnewood. Charges: DUI and careless driving. Location: West Chester Pike and Eagle Road. Date: Jan. 15 at 12:07 a.m.
