Burglaries, Fraud, Theft, Vandalism, More: Haverford Crime Blotter

Haverford Township Police reported two burglary incidents over the past week, one on Sunnybrook Lane and another on East Manoa Road.

HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Haverford Township issued their weekly crime blotter recently.

Incidents in the blotter occurred between July 20 and July 26.

The blotter also features arrests made and citations issued.

  • Theft at Park’s Best Car Wash, 1900 block of Old West Chester Pike, on July 20 at 9:03 p.m. – Victim reported two Western Union money orders valued at $500 were removed from his vehicle.
  • Retail Theft at Acme, 1300 block of West Chester Pike, on July 20 at 2:14 p.m. – An unknown male stole an unknown amount of groceries and cold medication.
  • Identity Theft at the 500 block of Misty Hollow Court on July 20 at 1:30 p.m. – Victim reported that someone opened a bank account using his identity.
  • Liquor Law Violation at the 100 block of W. Westwood Park Drive on July 20 at 11:13 p.m. – Two, 17-year-old males, six, 18-year-old males and one, 19-year-old male were cited for underage drinking.
  • Attempted Theft at the unit block of Yale Road on July 21 at 9:23 a.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered – nothing was reported missing.
  • Attempted Theft at the 200 block of Kathmere Road on July 21 at 9:18 a.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered – nothing was reported missing.
  • Attempted Theft at the 100 block of Kathmere Road on July 21 at 1:51 p.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered – nothing was reported missing.
  • Motor Vehicle Theft at the 2400 block of Hollis Road on July 21 at 6:55 a.m. – Victim reported that both of their unsecured vehicles were stolen from their driveway. Cleared by arrest.
  • Burglary at the 2700 block of Sunnybrook Lane on July 22 at 3:10 p.m. - Police responded to the residence for an interrupted burglary. The subject fled before police arrival. It appears he entered through a second floor window.
  • Theft at the 400 block of Kenmore Road on July 22 at midnight – Police were dispatched to the above location for two females carrying bags trying door handles of parked cars. Police conducted a pedestrian stop on Sagamore and Allston and they were in possession of approximately $100 in change, air pods, two drivers licenses and the key fob from the vehicle stolen. Two females were arrested.
  • Theft at the 100 block of Glen Arbor Road on July 22 at 5:31 a.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered – driver’s license, debit cards and Lyft card was stolen. Cleared by arrest.
  • Theft at the 200 block of Glen Arbor Road on July 22 at 4:05 p.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered – loose change and an i-phone was stolen. Cleared by arrest.
  • Theft at the 500 block of Woodland Drive on July 22 at 1:24 a.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered – driver’s license, credit cards and loose change was stolen. Cleared by arrest.
  • Attempted Theft at the 300 block of Kenmore Road on July 22 at 8:25 a.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered – nothing was reported missing.
  • Forgery at the 500 block of Woodland Drive on July 22 at 3:45 p.m. – A check was altered and cashed after it was mailed.
  • Identity Theft at the 400 block of Olympic Avenue on July 22 at 12:16 p.m. – Victim reported that someone opened a credit card account using her identity.
  • Forgery at the 500 block of Kenmore Road on July 23 at 6:56 p.m. – A check was altered and cashed after it was mailed.
  • Criminal Mischief at Haverford High School, 200 block of Mill Road, on July 23 at 9:06 p.m. – A group of juveniles tipped over a porta potty.
  • Vandalism at the unit block of Derwen Drive on July 23 at 9:13 a.m. – Residence and car was egged.
  • Theft at the CREC, 7000 block of Parkview Drive, on July 24 at 9:45 a.m. – Vehicle window was smashed - a purse was stolen.
  • Bicycle Theft at Ardmore Junction, 400 block of Septa Line, on July 24 at 2:44 p.m.
  • Attempted Theft at the 200 block of Wickford Road on July 24 at 10:14 a.m. – Vehicle was entered – nothing was reported missing.
  • Aggravated Assault at Giant, 100 block of W. Township Line Road, on July 25 at 3:12 p.m. – Police were dispatched for a subject with a gun. On arrival, the subject was located and taken into custody. The subject was taken to Crozier Hospital for an evaluation due to him having a mental health crisis.
  • Burglary at the 1000 block of E. Manoa Road on July 25 at 4:56 p.m. – Entry was gained into a screened in back porch by cutting a hole in the screen. It does not appear that entry was gained into the residence.
  • Fraud at the 400 block of Glendale Road on July 25 at 8:32 a.m. – Victim reported multiple unauthorized purchases made with her debit card.
  • Fraud at the 200 block of Brookline Boulevard on July 25 at 12:55 p.m. – Someone opened a bank account using the victim’s identity.
  • Fraud at the unit block of Parkridge Drive on July 25 at 5:26 p.m. – A check was altered and cashed after it was mailed.
  • Criminal Mischief at Veterans Field, unit block of W. Manoa Road, on July 25 at 11 a.m. – Graffiti was reported in the baseball dug out.
  • Identity Theft at the 1700 block of Sue Ellen Drive on July 26 at 9:16 a.m. – Victim reported that someone used her identity to open a checking account.

ARRESTS

  • 30-year-old male, 100 block of Brackel Lane, Media. Charges: Possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Location: 1200 block of West Chester Pike. Date: July 20 at 7:50 p.m.
  • 61-year-old female, 100 block of N. Eagle Road, Havertown. Charges: DUI. Location: 100 block of N. Eagle Road. Date: July 22 at 10:43 p.m.
