Burglaries, Stolen Vehicle, Fraud, More: Haverford Crime Blotter

HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Haverford Township issued their weekly crime blotter recently.

Incidents in the blotter occurred between Jan. 4 and Jan. 10.

The blotter also includes arrests made and citations issued.

INCIDENTS

• Retail Theft at Lowe’s, 100 block of W. Township Line Road, on Jan. 4 at 7:30 p.m. – An unknown male stole $1,345.98 worth of wire and fled the store.
• Retail Theft at Giant, 100 block of W. Township Line Road, on Jan. 5 at 4:51 p.m. – Two unknown females stole $325 of groceries.
• Theft at Bryn Mawr Terrace, 700 block of Haverford Road, on Jan. 5 at 11:26 a.m. – Victim reported that her debit card was stolen from her purse.
• Theft at the unit block of Brennan Drive on Jan. 5 at 11:09 a.m. – The victim’s neighbor observed an unknown person remove mail from their mailbox.
• Retail Theft at the 100 block of W. Township Line Road on Jan. 6 at 8:32 a.m. – Loss prevention officer reported that an unknown male entered the store and selected a toilet valued at $179. He went directly to customer service and made a return to receive a store credit.
• Identity Theft at the 2300 block of Belmont Avenue on Jan. 6 at 1:37 p.m. – Victim reported that someone used his identity to open a Verizon account. Someone also attempted to open a Lowe’s and Home Depot credit card.
• Criminal Mischief at Karakung Field, 1600 block of Karakung Drive, on Jan. 6 at 1:57 p.m. – Graffiti was reported on the building and three of the base plugs were pulled out of the field and damaged.
• Theft at the 1500 block of Delmont Avenue on Jan. 7 at 8:56 a.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered. Vehicle registration and insurance card were stolen and the ignition started switch was ripped out from the dashboard.
• Theft at the 200 block of Juniper Road on Jan. 7 at 8:10 a.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered – loose change was stolen.
• Attempted Theft at the 100 and 200 block of Juniper Road on Jan. 7 at 6:54 a.m. – Victim reported that she observed three unknown actors attempting to enter vehicles on her ring doorbell camera.
• Motor Vehicle Theft at the 200 block of Juniper Road on Jan. 7 at 7:50 a.m.
• Burglary at Carlino’s, 2600 block of County Line Road, on Jan. 9 at 8:27 a.m. – Forced entry was gained through the rear door. $1,250 was stolen.
• Burglary at Sam’s Pizza, 2600 block of County Line Road, on Jan. 9 at 11:53 a.m. – Forced entry was gained through a rear door. $7,800 was stolen.
• Forgery at the 1600 block of Mount Pleasant Road on Jan. 9 at 11 a.m. – A check was altered and cashed after it was mailed.
• Liquor Law Violation at the 100 block of S. Eagle Road on Jan. 9 at 12:21 a.m. – 20-year-old male, 100 block of S. Eagle Road was cited for underage drinking.
• Retail Theft at Kohl’s, 200 block of West Chester Pike, on Jan. 10 at 2 p.m. – An unknown male is observed on surveillance video removing a coat valued at $249.99 and fleeing the store.
• Theft at the 200 block of Signal Road on Jan. 10 at 11:48 a.m. – Catalytic converter was stolen from a vehicle.
• Fraud at the 100 block of Glen Arbor Road on Jan. 10 at 11:34 a.m. – Victim reported that someone made an unauthorized purchase with her credit card.

ARRESTS

• 32-year-old male, 2300 block of 79th Street, Philadelphia. Charges: DUI, possession of drug paraphernalia, careless driving and suspended driver’s license. Location: 1700 block of E. Darby Road. Date: Jan. 5 at 7:26 p.m.
• 24-year-old male, 200 block of Chester Avenue, Yeadon. Charges: Possession of marijuana and improper sun screening. Location: 100 block of S. Eagle Road. Date: Jan. 5 at 7:45 a.m.
• 23-year-old male, unit block of S. 4th Avenue, Coatesville. Charges: Retail theft, simple assault, possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Location: 1500 block of West Chester Pike. Date: Jan. 9 at 12:14 p.m.
• 36-year-old male, 7200 block of Walnut Street, Upper Darby. Charges: Retail theft. Location: Acme, 1300 block of West Chester Pike. Date: Jan. 10 at 4:40 p.m.
