Burglary, Forgery, Attempted Car Thefts: Haverford Crime Blotter
Police said a home on the 2400 block was broken into and an attempted break in occurred just one block up on July 28. See details here.
HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Haverford Township issued their weekly crime blotter Friday.
Incidents in the blotter occurred between July 27 and Aug. 3.
The blotter also includes arrests made and citations issued.

- Retail Theft at Kohl’s, 200 block of West Chester Pike, on July 27 at 12:45 p.m. – Loss prevention manager observed on surveillance video an unknown male conceal $2,452 worth of merchandise and flee the store.
- Theft at Giant, 100 block of W. Township Line Road, on July 27 at 5:52 p.m. – Victim reported that her wallet was stolen from her purse while she shopped.
- Fraud at the 100 block of Whitemarsh Road on July 27 at 5:32 p.m. – Victim reported multiple unauthorized transactions made from her checking account.
- Burglary at the 2400 block of Wynnefield Drive on July 28 at 7:04 a.m. – Entry was made through an unlocked door and a purse was stolen.
- Attempted Burglary at the 2500 block of Wynnefield Drive on July 28 at 6:15 a.m. – The victim observed an unknown male attempting to enter her residence on her Ring doorbell.
- Criminal Mischief at the 300 block of Virginia Avenue on July 29 at 6:21 a.m. – Vehicle side view mirror was damaged.
- Theft at the CREC, 9000 block of Parkview Drive, on July 31 at 7:33 p.m. – Vehicle window was shattered – two check books were stolen.
- Theft at the CREC, 9000 block of Parkview Drive, on July 31 at 7:33 p.m. – Vehicle window was shattered – Kate Spade purse was stolen.
- Identity Theft at the 600 block of Valley View Road on July 31 at 11:28 a.m. – Victim reported that someone used her identity to open a Pay Pal account.
- Retail Theft at Giant, 100 block of W. Township Line Road, on Aug. 1 at 11:37 a.m. – An unknown male stole two bags full of fresh meat products.
- Forgery at the 100 block of Strathmore Road on Aug. 1 at 9:57 a.m. – A check was altered and cashed after it was mailed.
- Retail Theft at Lowe’s, 100 block of W. Township Line Road, on Aug. 2 at 1:20 p.m. – An unknown female stole $1,421.46 worth of copper wire and fled the store.
- Bicycle Theft at Wawa, 1000 block of Darby Road, on Aug. 2 at 5 p.m. – two unsecured bikes were stolen.
- Theft at the 800 block of Penn Street on Aug. 2 at 9:54 a.m. – Vehicle was entered, shoes and a backpack were stolen.
- Attempted Motor Vehicle Theft at the 800 block of E. Railroad Avenue on Aug. 2 at 9:12 a.m.
- Attempted Motor Vehicle Theft at the 700 block of Railroad Avenue on Aug. 2 at 11:40 a.m.
- Burglary at the 400 block of Valley Glen Drive on Aug. 3 at 10:14 a.m. – Forced entry was gained through a patio door. Cufflinks and watches were stolen.
- Theft at the 600 block of Glendale Road on Aug. 3 at 6:28 p.m. – Vehicle window was smashed – a purse was stolen.
- Forgery at the 600 block of Ardmore Avenue on Aug. 3 at 9:15 a.m. – A check was altered and cashed after it was mailed.
- Vandalism at the 1600 block of Beverly Road on Aug. 3 at 9:41 a.m – Vehicle windshield was broken out.
- Disorderly Conduct at the Polo Field, 900 block of Railroad Avenue, on Aug. 3 at 8:18 p.m. – 32-year-old male, 800 block of Penn Street, Bryn Mawr, was cited for disorderly conduct.
ARRESTS
- 40-year-old male, 1500 block of Red Bank Avenue, Deptford, New Jersey. Charges: DUI, possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Location: 800 block of Martin Avenue. Date: July 27 at 8:02 p.m.
- 24-year-old male, unit block of Walnut Street, Morton. Charges: Operate vehicle without ignition interlock. Location: 1300 block of West Chester Pike. Date: Aug. 1 at 9:36 a.m.
- 29-year-old male, 8900 block of West Chester Pike, Upper Darby. Charges: Retail theft, possession of a controlled substance and suspended drivers
- License. Location: Acme, 1300 block of West Chester Pike. Date: Aug. 2 at 9:12 p.m.
