Police reported seven instances of checks being altered and fraudulently cashed over the past week. See details on these and more crimes.
HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Haverford Township issued their weekly crime blotter Wednesday.
Incidents in the blotter occurred between Sept. 14 and Sept. 20.
The blotter also features arrests made and citations issued.

- Bicycle Theft at Haverford High School, 200 block of Mill Road, on Sept. 14 at 9:38 p.m.
- Theft at the 300 block of Sagamore Road on Sept. 14 at 0725 hours – Unlocked vehicle was entered - $5 was stolen.
- Attempted Theft at the 300 block of Sagamore Road on Sept. 14 at 7:13 a.m. – Unlocked vehicle entered – nothing was reported missing.
- Attempted Theft at the 300 block of Sagamore Road on Sept. 14 at 7:35 a.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered – nothing was reported missing.
- Forgery at the 1400 block of Virginia Avenue on Sept. 14 at 1:46 p.m. – A check was altered and cashed after it was mailed.
- Fraud at the 500 block of Mill Road on Sept. 14 at 4:10 p.m. – A check was altered and cashed after it was mailed.
- Identity Theft at the 2600 block of Woodleigh Road on Sept. 14 at 4:18 p.m. – Victim reported that someone used his identity to open a credit card account.
- Criminal Mischief at the 1500 block of Darby Road on Sept. 14 at 12:04 p.m. – 23- year-old male, 5600 block of Lansdowne Avenue, Philadelphia was cited for criminal mischief.
- Robbery at the 100 block of County Line Road on Sept. 15 at 10:26 p.m. – The victim was approached by an unkown male who presented a handgun and demanded his phone and wallet.
- Theft at the 400 block of Ardmore Avenue on Sept. 15 at 3:05 p.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered - $250 and a debit card was stolen. $330 in unauthorized purchases were made with the debit card.
- Attempted Theft at the 200 block of Sagamore Road on Sept. 15 at 11:35 a.m. – Unlocked vehicle was ransacked – nothing was reported missing.
- Attempted Theft at Citizens Bank, 1300 block of West Chester Pike, on Sept. 15 at 1:51 p.m. – An unknown male attempted to cash a fraudulent check.
- Forgery at the 600 block of Washington Avenue on Sept. 15 at 2:09 p.m. – A check was altered and cashed after it was mailed.
- Robbery at Nelson Place and County Line Road on Sept. 16 at 10:02 p.m. – The victim was pushed to the ground by two males and they stole her cell phone.
- Robbery at the 2200 block of County Line Road on Sept. 16 at 8:08 p.m. – The victim was approached by an unknown male with a gun. He demanded his wallet and phone. The victim stated that he only had keys and they suspect walked away.
- Theft at the unit block of Gilmore Road on Sept. 16 at 7:44 a.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered – a credit card was taken and multiple unauthorized purchases were made.
- Attempted Theft at the 400 block of Bryan Street on Sept. 16 at 8:52 a.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered – nothing was reported missing.
- Forgery at the 500 block of Upland Road on Sept. 16 at 10:54 a.m. – A check was altered and cashed after it was mailed.
- Vandalism at the 2000 block of Old West Chester Pike on Sept. 16 at 4:47 p.m. – Vehicle was keyed.
- Retail Theft at Lowe’s, 100 block of West Township Line Road, on Sept. 17 at 3 p.m. – An unknown male and female stole $1,236.26 worth of merchandise and fled the store.
- Theft at the unit block of Ralston Avenue on Sept. 17 at 6:18 p.m. – Three “slow down” signs were removed from the front of the victim’s residence.
- Identity Theft at the 100 block of Juniper Road on Sept. 17 at 11:04 a.m. – Two unauthorized transactions were made with the victim’s mobile banking app.
- Identity Theft at the 200 block of Lee Circle on Sept. 18 at 1:46 p.m. – Two unauthorized charges were made from the victim's home equity line account.
- Public Drunkenness at the unit block of Brookline Boulevard on Sept. 18 at 2:16 a.m. – 36-year-old female, 2100 block of Darby Road was cited for public drunkenness and disorderly conduct.
- Retail Theft at Lowe’s, 100 block of West Township Line Road, on Sept. 19 at 12:03 p.m. – An unknown male and female stole approximately $1,000 worth of merchandise and fled the store.
- Theft at the 300 block of Ardmore Avenue on Sept. 20 at 4:48 p.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered – A pocketbook containing her driver’s license, insurance card, phone charger and credit cards was stolen.
- Theft at Lowe’s, 100 block of West Township Line Road, on Sept. 20 at 3:17 p.m. – Two males were observed loading a used refrigerator to be scrapped into their truck from a Lowe’s trailer.
- Fraud at the unit block of East Eagle Road on Sept. 20 at 9:21 a.m. – A check was altered and cashed after it was mailed.
- Fraud at Havertown Post Office, 400 block of East Township Line Road, on Sept. 20 at 3:10 p.m. – Two checks were altered and cashed after they were mailed.
ARRESTS
- 27-year-old male, 100 block of Juniper Road, Havertown. Charges: Warrant. Location: 1000 block of Darby Road. Date: Sept. 17 at 11:16 a.m.
- 30-year-old female, 9000 block of Revere Street, Philadelphia. Charges: Public drunkenness, possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Location: Hathaway and Clover Lanes. Date: Sept. 18 at 6:08 p.m.
- 19-year-old male, 1200 block of Audubon Avenue, West Chester. Charges: DUI, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Location: 1100 block of West Chester Pike. Date: Sept. 16 at 9:59 p.m.
