Delco Man Wanted For Stabbing At South Jersey Water Park

Authorities said he punched a woman and stabbed a man after trying to leave the park with his child, even though he does not have custody.

CHESTER, PA — A Delaware County man is wanted in connection with a stabbing that occurred outside a popular South Jersey water park during what was described as a "domestic incident" last month.

Rashawn Parker, 30, of Chester, saw his child at Sahara Sam's Water Park on Route 73 in Berlin on Aug. 18.

Even though he doesn't have custody of the child, Parker attempted to leave the park with the child, according to Acting Camden County Prosecutor Jill Mayer and Berlin Township Police Chief Wayne Bonfiglio.

When the adults the child went to the park with tried to stop him, he punched the woman and stabbed the man, police said. He then ran toward a car and drove away, police said.

Parker has been charged with second-degree attempted kidnapping, third-degree aggravated assault, third-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, second-degree endangering the welfare of a child, third-degree interference with custody, fourth-degree unlawful possession of a weapon, fourth-degree violation of a restraining order and simple assault.
