HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Haverford Township issued their weekly crime blotter recently.

Incidents in the blotter occurred between Jan. 18 and Jan. 24.

The blotter also includes arrests made and citations issued.

  • Retail Theft at Giant, 100 block of W. Township Line Road, on Jan. 18 at 4:32 p.m. – An unknown male and female stole $240.07 worth of groceries.
  • Fraud at the 100 block of Fairlamb Avenue on Jan. 18 at 10:23 a.m. – Victim reported that someone gained access to his AT&T account and purchased an iPad.
  • Identity Theft at the unit block of W. Langhorne Avenue on Jan. 18 at 3:09 p.m. – An unknown person used the victim’s identity to open a Verizon account.
  • Theft at the 400 block of W. Langhorne Avenue on Jan. 19 at 11:10 a.m. – Victim reported multiple household items missing from a locked storage area of a rental property.
  • Forgery at the unit block of E. Clearfield Road on Jan. 19 at 1:15 p.m. – Victim reported that three fraudulent checks were cashed from his account.
  • Retail Theft at Acme, 1300 block of West Chester Pike, on Jan. 20 at 4:55 p.m. – 24-year-old male, 6900 block of Woodland Avenue, Philadelphia, was cited for retail theft of $26.06 worth of cigarettes.
  • Theft at the Haverford YMCA, 800 block of N. Eagle Road, on Jan. 20 at 2:20 p.m. – Vehicle was entered – two credit cards were stolen. Multiple unauthorized purchases were made with the credit cards.
  • Forgery at the 200 block of Oxford Hill Lane on Jan. 20 at 12:16 p.m. – A check was altered and cashed after it was mailed.
  • Identity Theft at the 600 block of Ellis Road on Jan. 20 at 3:52 p.m. – Victim reported that someone took out a $5,000 small business loan using her identity and attempted to open two credit card accounts.
  • Identity Theft at the 1400 block of Sunny Hill Lane on Jan. 20 at 10:45 a.m. – An unknown actor used the victim's identity to remove $4,500 from her bank account.
  • Identity Theft at the 500 block of Willowbrook Road on Jan. 20 at 3:25 p.m. – Victim reported that someone used her identity to open a Verizon account.
  • Fraud at the 1200 block of Steel Road on Jan. 21 at 5:20 p.m. – Victim reported that she made arrangements to purchase a dog online. She paid $1,375 for the dog and has not heard from the breeder since.
  • Public Drunkenness at the 100 block of Shelbourne Road on Jan. 21 at 1:54 a.m. – 42-year-old female, 100 block of Shelbourne Road, was cited for public drunkenness and disorderly conduct.
  • Retail Theft at Giant, 100 block of W. Township Line Road, on Jan. 22 at 5:14 p.m. – 53-year-old female, 7100 block of West Chester Pike, Upper Darby was cited for the retail theft of $150 worth of merchandise.
  • Fraud at the unit block of E. Marthart Avenue on Jan. 23 at 1:52 p.m. – Victim reported that he received an email from a person claiming to be his boss. They requested he purchase four $200 Apple gift cards and send him photos of them. The victim became aware of the scam after he sent the gift cards.
  • Identity Theft at the 800 block of Aubrey Avenue on Jan. 23 at 1:24 p.m. – Victim reported that someone used her identity to open an AT&T account.
  • Fraud at the unit block of Tracey Terrace on Jan. 23 at 3:27 p.m. - Victim reported that someone used her identity to open an AT&T account.
  • Vandalism at the 400 block of Langhorne Avenue on Jan. 23 at 6:58 p.m. – Vehicle tire valve stem was removed.
  • Retail Theft at Lowe’s, 100 block of W. Township Line Road, on Jan. 24 at 1 p.m. – An unknown male stole $1,965 worth of tools.
  • Retail Theft at Lowe’s, 100 block of W. Township Line Road, on Jan. 24 at 3 p.m. – An unknown male stole $337 worth of tools.
  • Fraud at the 700 block of Homestead Avenue on Jan. 24 at 9:53 a.m. – Victim reported that someone used his identity to transfer his phone number to another carrier.

  • 47-year-old female, 4000 block of Haverford Avenue, Philadelphia. Charges: Retail theft, possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Location: Kohl’s, 200 block of West Chester Pike. Date: Jan. 19 at 7:14 p.m.
  • 46-year-old male, 100 block of Signal Road, Drexel Hill. Charges: DUI and careless driving LOC: Glendale and Colonial Roads. Date: Jan. 21 at 12:52 a.m.
  • 50-year-old male, 400 block of Glendale Road, Havertown. Charges: Simple assault, possession of a controlled substance and harassment. Location: Haverford Hills Condominium, 400 block of Glendale Road. Date: Jan. 23 at 10:54 a.m.
  • 34-year-old male, unit block of Brewerytown Court, Philadelphia. Charges: Retail theft, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Location: 2600 block of Haverford Road. Date: Jan. 25 at 11:55 p.m.
