Fraud, Forgery, Vehicle Thefts, More: Haverford Crime Blotter

HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Haverford Township issued their weekly crime blotter Wednesday.

Incidents in the blotter occurred between Nov. 23 and Nov. 29.

The blotter also includes arrests made and citations issued.

INCIDENTS

• Forgery at the 700 block of Lakeside Avenue on Nov. 23 at 11:15 a.m. – A check was altered and cashed after it was mailed.
• Fraud at the 100 block of E. Park Road on Nov. 23 at 11 a.m. – Victim reported that someone accessed his American Airline account and transferred 76,000 points valued at $2,242 to another account.
• Fraud at the 2100 block of Bellemead Avenue on Nov. 23 at 2:49 p.m. – Victim reported that someone had stolen his phone number and was attempted to switch his number to a different service.
• Retail Theft at Kohl’s, 200 block of West Chester Pike, on Nov. 25 at 12:57 p.m. – An unknown male stole $1,939.96 worth of vacuums.
• Theft at the 500 block of College Avenue on Nov. 26 at 9:24 a.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered – credit cards were stolen.
• Motor Vehicle Theft at the 100 block of Kathmere Road on Nov. 26 at 7:18 a.m.
• Motor Vehicle Theft at the 200 block of Treaty Road on Nov. 26 at 8:20 a.m.
• Criminal Mischief at the Grange Estate, 100 block of Myrtle Avenue, on Nov. 26 at 5:17 p.m. – Unknown juveniles destroyed beehives that were used to harvest local honey.
• Retail Theft at 7-11, 100 block of Eagle Road, on Nov. 28 at 5:29 p.m. – An unknown male stole a beverage from the cooler and placed it in his pocket.
• Identity Theft at the 2700 block of Overbrook Terrace on Nov. 28 at 2:25 p.m. – Victim reported that a large amount of money was taken out of her accounts through multiple withdraws.
• Theft at the 2100 block of Haverford Road on Nov. 29 at 9:46 p.m. – Catalytic converter was stolen from a vehicle.
• Theft at the unit block of Bambi Lane on Nov. 29 at 9:10 a.m. – Three unlocked vehicles were entered - $50 in coins and a wallet was stolen.
• Theft at the unit block of Bambi Lane on Nov. 29 at 11:43 a.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered – loose change was stolen.
• Theft at the unit block of Bambi Lane on Nov. 29 at 1:14 p.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered – Loose change was stolen.
• Forgery at the 500 block of Shelbourne Road on Nov. 29 at 4:12 p.m. – A check was altered and cashed after it was mailed.
• Public Drunkenness at the 2300 block of Haverford Road on Nov. 29 at 10:13 p.m. – 30-year-old female, 400 block of Kathmere Road was cited for public drunkenness.

ARRESTS

• 22-year-old male, 600 block of Lindley Avenue, Philadelphia. Charges: Criminal trespass, theft from a motor vehicle, possession of a controlled substance and disorderly conduct. Location:600 block of Georges Lane and 700 block of Oakview Road. Date: Nov. 27 at 8:39 a.m.
• 44-year-old male, 2700 block of E. Venago Street, Philadelphia. Charges: Warrant. Location: 1700 block of West Chester Pike. Date: Nov. 28 at 1:19 p.m.
