Haverford Police said a victim's paycheck was stolen then fraudulently cashed last week. See details on this and more incidents here.
HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Haverford Township issued their weekly crime blotter recently.
Incidents in the blotter occurred between Jan. 25 and Jan. 30.
The blotter also features arrests made and citations issued.

- Identity Theft at the 100 block of Woodbine Road on Jan. 25 at 11:57 a.m.– Victim reported that someone used his identity to open a bank account.
- Fraud at the 400 block of Walnut Hill Lane on Jan. 26 at 2:51 p.m.– Victim received an email for a bill for Norton Virus Protection in the amount of $391.99. The victim replied to the email stating that she did not order the service. They then provided her with online forms to complete to receive a refund. The victim recognized the scam before provided her bank information.
- Fraud at the 600 block of Grand Avenue on Jan. 26 at 2:15 p.m. – An unknown actor made a purchase with the victims Lowe’s gift card.
- Theft at Burger King, 200 block of West Chester Pike, on Jan. 27 at 9:51 p.m. – Cell phone was stolen.
- Fraud at the 300 block of Valley Road onJan. 27 at 11:19 a.m. – An unknown actor used the victim’s identity to file for unemployment benefits.
- Identity Theft at the 2200 block of Winton Avenue on Jan. 27 at 11:26 a.m. – Victim reported that someone attempted to open a credit card account using his identity.
- Fraud at the 2000 block of Laurel Road on Jan. 27 at 8:17 p.m. – A paycheck was stolen and fraudulently cashed.
- Vandalism at the 500 block of Naylors Run Road on Jan. 27 at 5:10 p.m. – Vehicle tires were slashed.
- Identity Theft at Haverford Hills Condominiums, 400 block of Glendale Road, on Jan. 28 at 9:50 a.m. – Victim reported that someone used his identity to file for unemployment benefits.
- Theft at the unit block of Golf House Road on Jan. 30 at 10:23 a.m. – Victim reported valuable possessions stolen during a move.
- Theft at Haverford College, 300 block of Lancaster Avenue, on Jan. 30 at 2:36 p.m. – Victim reported that her Gucci watch was stolen from her dorm room.
ARRESTS
- 51-year-old male, 2000 block of Winton Road, Havertown. Chagres: Accidents involving damage to attended vehicle and duty to give information. Location: E. Darby Road and E. Benedict Avenue. Date: Jan. 27 at 5:51 p.m.
- 55-year-old male, 700 block of S. 60th Street, Philadelphia. Charges: Retail theft, possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Location: Lowe’s, 100 block of W. Township Line Road. Date: Jan. 29 at 3:11 p.m.
- 28-year-old male, 800 block of Clarendon Road, Drexel Hill. Charges: Retail theft. Location: Lowe’s, 100 block of W. Township Line Road. Date: Jan. 29 at 5:12 p.m.
- 28-year-old male, 2800 block of Ruth Street, Philadelphia. Chagres: Identity theft, false identification to law enforcement, disorderly conduct and possession of drug paraphernalia. Location: Lakeside Avenue and Karakung Drive. Date: Jan. 30 at 8:13 p.m.
