Gun Scare Locks Down Delco High School Monday
Upper Darby High School was locked down Monday after officials were told a student had a gun.

UPPER DARBY, PA — Police have taken suspects into custody after a Delaware County high school was locked down due to reports of an armed student.
The Upper Darby School District said Upper Darby High School was locked down and suspects are in police custody a result of high school administration being alerted that a student on campus was in possession of a firearm.
According to the district, the school community is safe.

The high school is slowly being taken out of lockdown while police visit each area of the building and each individual classroom to remove the lockdown.
High school students will be dismissed as soon as the lockdown is completely lifted, while all other schools will follow normal dismissal schedules.

Monday's after school activities are unaffected
The district said it will provide more details following dismissal Monday.
