Haverford Crime Blotter: Burglaries, Vandalism, Fraud, More

HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Haverford Township released their weekly crime blotter Wednesday. And all the details are here.

The blotter covers incidents that occurred between July 24 and July 30.

INCIDENTS:

• Burglary at the 800 block of Aubrey Avenue on July 24 at 9:17 p.m. – Unsecured residence was entered. Two PlayStation 4s, laptop, wireless speaker, liquor, prescription medication and $600 in coins was stolen.
• Theft at the 1600 block of Colony Lane on July 25 at 1:44 p.m. – Diamond ring was stolen from the residence.
• Counterfeiting at Rite Aid, 1300 block of West Chester Pike, on July 25 at 6:49 p.m. – An unknown female attempted to pass counterfeit money to purchase gift cards.
• Fraud at the unit block of Mercer Avenue on July 25 at 3:14 p.m. – Multiple unauthorized purchases were made with the victim’s credit cards.
• Burglary at the 1700 block of Tyson Road on July 26 at 3:26 p.m. – Forced entry was gained through a basement window. A television and computer were stolen. A vehicle was also reported stolen from the driveway.
• Theft at the 2800 block of Morris Road on July 26 at 1:57 p.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered, loose change was stolen.
• Fraud at the 2300 block of Bryn Mawr Avenue on July 26 at 12:44 p.m. – Victim received a call from someone claiming to be from the Social Security Office. The caller instructed the victim to send $1,600 in gift cards to prevent criminal charges.
• Liquor Law Violation at the 100 block of Mill Road on July 26 at 12:54 a.m. – 20-year-old male, 100 block of Mill Road, was cited for underage drinking.
• Retail Theft at CVS, unit block of W. Eagle Road, on July 27 at 3:01 p.m. – Store manager viewed three subjects steal over $800 in merchandise and exit the store.
• Public Drunkenness at Haverford and Overhill Roads on July 27 at 4:20 a.m. – 25-year-old male, unit block of Revolutionary Road, Acton, Massachusetts, was cited for public drunkenness.
• Vandalism at the 2400 block of Wynnefield Drive on July 28 at 7:41 p.m. – Graffiti was reported.
• Public Drunkenness at the 1200 block of West Chester Pike on July 28 at 1:33 a.m. - 30-year-old male, 1900 block of Lawrence Road was cited for public Drunkenness.
• Robbery at Wells Fargo Bank, 1100 block of West Chester Pike, on July 29 at 2:34 p.m. – An unknown male implied that he had a weapon and demanded money. The bank teller refused and the suspect fled the bank on foot without any money. See more information on this crime here.
• Criminal Mischief at the 900 block of Powder Mill Lane on July 30 at 3:41 p.m. – A piece of paper was taped to a vehicle with six pornographic images printed on it.
• Public Drunkenness at Wyndmoor Apartments, 100 block of S. Eagle Road, on July 30 at 3:36 p.m. – 50-year-old male, 200 block of School Lane, and 55-year-old female, 100 block of S. Eagle Road, were cited for public drunkenness.

ARRESTS:

• 32-year-old male, 300 block of Cheswald Avenue, Drexel Hill. Charges: Theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property, criminal trespass and loitering and prowling at night Location: 100 block of Grove Place. Date: July 23 at 9:30 a.m., incident occurred on July 11.
• 40-year-old male, 4000 block of Green Street, Philadelphia. Charges: Possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Location: Kid to Kid (1200 block of Township Line Road). Date: July 21 at 3:20 p.m.
• 36-year-old female, 3400 block of West Chester Pike, Newtown Square. Charges: Retail theft and receiving stolen property. Location: Acme, 1300 block of West Chester Pike. Date: July 24 at 8:58 p.m.
• 29-year-old male, 1300 block of Darby Road, Havertown. Charges: Possession of a controlled substance. Location: 1300 block of Darby Road. Date: July 26 at 2159 hours
• 24-year-old female, 600 block of 57th Street, Philadelphia. Charges: Retail theft, receiving stolen property and possession of ian nstrument of crime. Location: Kohl’s (200 block of West Chester Pike). Date: July 29 at 11:34 a.m.
• 21-year-old female, 1300 block of 59th Street, Philadelphia. Charges: Retail theft, receiving stolen property and possession of an instrument of crime. Location: Kohl’s. Date: July 29 at 11:34 a.m.
• 23-year-old female, 1300 block of 59th Street, Philadelphia. Charges: Retail theft, receiving stolen property and possession of an instrument of crime. Location: Kohl’s. Date: July 29 at 11:35 a.m.
• 42-year-old male, Homeless. Charges: Retail theft. Location: Acme, 1300 block of West Chester Pike. Date: July 29 at 3:32 p.m.
• 15-year-old male was petitioned to juvenile court. Charges: Disorderly conduct. Location: Lynnewood Elementary (1400 block of Lawrence Road). Date: July 23, incident occurred on June 21.
