Haverford Crime Blotter: Burglaries, Vandalism, Fraud, More

Burglaries occurred at Merry Place on Nov. 9 and at a home on the 300 block of Valley Road on Nov. 15, police said. See full details here.

HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Haverford Township issued two weeks of crime blotter incidents Wednesday.

The blotter features incidents that occurred between Nov. 5 and Nov. 17.

Also included in the blotter are arrests made and citations issued.

  • Retail Theft at Kid to Kid, 1200 block of Township Line Road, on Nov. 5 at 5:18 p.m. – An unknown female stole $273 worth of merchandise.
  • Theft at the 1200 block of Manor Road on Nov. 6 at 0740 hours – Unlocked vehicle was entered, $7 was stolen.
  • Theft at the 300 block of South Manoa Road on Nov. 6 at 9:09 a.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered, loose change was stolen.
  • Theft at the 1300 block of Fairview Avenue on Nov. 6 at 10:25 a.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered, loose change was stolen.
  • Theft at the 1300 block of Fairview Avenue on Nov. 6 at 10:45 a.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered, facemask and loose change were stolen.
  • Theft at the 100 block of Warrior Road on Nov. 6 at 4:58 p.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered, $30 was stolen.
  • Attempted Theft at the 300 block of South Manoa Road on Nov. 6 at 7:41 a.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered, nothing was reported missing.
  • Identity Theft at the 400 block of Walnut Place on Nov. 6 at 9:15 a.m. – Victim reported that someone used his identity to file for unemployment benefits.
  • Theft at the 1900 block of West Chester Pike on Nov. 7 at 9:27 a.m. – Victim reported that a person known to her stole two bottles of liquor.
  • Theft at the 100 block of South Eagle Road on Nov. 7 at 8:50 a.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered, $20 was stolen.
  • Criminal Mischief at the 100 block of South Eagle Road on Nov. 8 at 11:05 a.m. – Valve stems were removed from vehicle tires.
  • Vandalism at the 700 block of North Eagle Road on Nov. 8 at 1209 a.m. – Political sign was vandalized.
  • Burglary at Merry Place, 600 block of Glendale Road, on Nov. 9 at 9:05 a.m. – Forced entry was gained into a building. Nothing was reported stolen. It appears the timer for the outdoor lights were adjusted.
  • Theft at the Manoa Shopping Center, 1300 block of West Chester Pike, on Nov. 9 at 5:22 p.m. – Vehicle was entered, $1,000 worth of gift cards were stolen.
  • Theft at the 1500 block of Robinson Avenue on Nov. 9 at 10:52 p.m. – Jewelry was reported missing from the residence.
  • Vandalism at the Quarry Center, 100 block of West Township Line Road, on Nov. 9 at 11:10 p.m. – Vehicle tires were slashed.
  • Vandalism at the 1400 block of Robinson Avenue on Nov. 9 at 10:52 p.m. – Flower pot was knocked over causing damage to the flower pot and killing the flowers.
  • Identity Theft at the 200 block of Lone Oak Drive on Nov. 10 at 4:31 p.m. – Victim reported that someone opened an account using her identity.
  • Theft at Giant, 100 block of West Township Line Road, on Nov. 11 at 6:57 p.m. – Victim reported that he dropped his wallet after shopping. Video surveillance shows an unknown male pick up the wallet claiming it was his.
  • Bicycle Theft at the 100 block of Llandaff Road on Nov. 13 at 11:24 a.m.
  • Theft at Jiffy Lube, unit block of West Township Line Road, on Nov. 13 at 9:15 a.m. – Sunglasses were stolen from a vehicle.
  • Burglary at the 300 block of Valley Road on Nov. 15 at 10:30 p.m. – Entry was gained through a side door. The victim confronted the subject when he heard him enter and the subject fled.
  • Retail Theft at Wawa, 1000 block of West Darby Road, on Nov. 15 at 9:14 p.m. – An unknown male stole approximately $170 worth of merchandise and fled the store.
  • Theft at the 400 block of Valley Road on Nov. 15 at 10:06 a.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered, garage door opener was stolen.
  • Theft at Wawa, unit block of East Eagle Road, on Nov. 15 at 10:57 p.m. – An unknown male stole two cartons of cigarettes and fled the store.
  • Fraud at the 300 block of Cherry Lane on Nov. 15 at 1:33 p.m. – Victim reported that someone used his identity to open a Dell account and purchase a $3,884 computer.
  • Retail Theft at Wawa, 1000 block of Darby Road, on Nov. 16 at 11:49 a.m. – An unknown male stole approximately $250 worth of cigarettes and fled the store.
  • Theft at Westgate Hills, 2000 block of West Chester Pike, on Nov. 17 at 3:17 p.m. – Victim reported that she left her purse in the break room while she worked her shift. She discovered a large amount of money was stolen.
  • Bicycle Theft at Wawa, 1000 block of Darby Road, on Nov. 17 at 6:38 a.m.

ARRESTS:

  • 36-year-old male, 200 block of Kossuth Avenue, Folsom. Charges: Possession of a controlled substance. Location: 500 block of Brookview Lane. Date: Nov. 8 at 10:41 a.m.
  • 38-year-old female, 1900 block of Belvedere Avenue, Havertown. Charges: DUI and suspended driver's license. Location: 2300 block of Belvedere Avenue. Date: Nov. 14 at 5:22 a.m.
  • 19-year-old male, unit block of Fairfield Road, Havertown Charges: Possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, criminal trespass, disorderly conduct, public drunkenness and underage drinking. Location: unit block of Chelten Road. Date: Nov. 15 at 2:05 a.m.
  • 25-year-old male, 1100 block of Manor Road, Coatesville. Charges: Possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Location: 100 block of Heatherwood Road. Date: Nov. 17 at 11:47 p.m.
