Haverford Crime Blotter: Burglary, Fraud, Theft, More

Copper piping was stolen from a home on the 900 block of Township Line Road during an Aug. 8 burglar, police said.

HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — Haverford Police released their weekly crime blotter Wednesday. All the details are below.

The blotter includes incidents that occurred in the township between Aug. 3 and Aug. 12, as well as arrests made and citations issues.

INCIDENTS:

  • Retail Theft at Kohl’s, 200 block of West Chester Pike, on Aug. 3 at 8:37 p.m. – an 18-year-old male, 4100 block of Huey Avenue, Drexel Hill was cited for Retail Theft.
  • Fraud at 1010 Darby Road on Aug. 7 at 9:53 a.m. – victim responded to the police station for a fraud report. An unknown actor sent a fraudulent check using her company’s business account. All checks and accounts have been closed. Nothing of value was taken at this time.
  • Criminal Mischief in the 1200 block of Manor Road on Aug. 8 at 12:14 p.m. – victim reports during a confrontation with a bicyclist, the bicyclist jammed his handle bars into her passenger door causing a six-inch scratch.
  • Burglary in the 900 block of Township Line Road on Aug. 8 at 1:35 p.m. – officers for responded to the above location for a burglary not in progress. The glass window panes and screens were removed from the basement window; copper piping was taken out of the vacant property.
  • Identity Theft in the 2100 block of Belvedere Avenue on Aug. 8 at 6:50 p.m. – unauthorized user attempted to open a credit card using the victim’s information.
  • Theft from Vehicle in the 700 block of Hathaway Lane on Aug. 9 at 12:30 p.m. – sunglasses and loose change were taken from an unlocked vehicle. Vehicle was parked in the driveway.
  • Theft from Vehicle in the 700 block of Hathaway Lane on Aug. 9 at 10:46 a.m. – loose change was taken from a vehicle; victim is unsure if the vehicle was locked.
  • Theft from Vehicle in the 2700 block of Morris Road on Aug. 9 at 3:20 p.m. – victim reports that an unknown subject entered his vehicle and took his fleet key, loose change and other items; victim is unsure if his vehicle was secure.
  • Attempted Theft from Vehicle in the 2700 block of St. Mary’s Road on Aug. 9 at 1:06 p.m. – victim states that an unknown person entered his vehicle, nothing was missing; victim is unsure if his vehicle was secure.
  • Public Drunkenness in the unit block of Ralston Avenue on Aug. 9 at 2:58 a.m. – a 49-year-old male, 1000 block of Haldeman Avenue, Philadelphia was arrested.
  • Public Drunkenness at Railroad and Preston Roads on Aug. 10 at 12:03 p.m. – a 27-year-old female, 500 block of Rock Glenn Road, Wynnewood was cited.
  • Fraud in the 2600 block of Hirst Terrace on Aug. 12 at 11:20 p.m. – the victim’s email account of his business was hacked, customers were sent invoices and they were paid.
  • Identity Theft in the unit block of E. Manoa Road on Aug. 12 at 6:59 p.m. – accounts were opened using the victim’s identity by an unauthorized person.

  • 23-year-old male, unit block of Downs Circle, Wynnewood. CHGS: Simple Assault, Terroristic Threats, Criminal Mischief, Disorderly Conduct, Public Drunkenness. LOC: unit block of Downs Circle. DATE: Aug. 8 at 5:17 a.m.
  • 49-year-old male, 6900 block of Clinton Road, Upper Darby. CHGS: Possession of Controlled Substance. LOC: 100 block of W. Township Line Road. DATE: Aug. 12 at 10:14 a.m.
