Haverford Crime Blotter: Burglary, Vandalism, Fraud

HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Haverford issued their newest crime blotter Wednesday, and the details are below.

INCIDENTS:

• Theft in the Quarry Center, 100 block of W. Township Line Road, on Jan. 15 at 10:25 a.m. – victim states that she dropped her wallet; her credit cards were used by an unknown person.
• Theft at ACME, 1300 block of West Chester Pike, on Jan. 15 at 12:21 p.m. – laundry detergent was taken.
• Theft at ACME, 1300 block of West Chester Pike, on Jan. 15 at 3:14 p.m. – an unknown male left the store failing to pay for his merchandise.
• Vandalism in the 1400 block of Darby Road on Jan. 15 at 9:27 a.m. – victim states that a group of juveniles caused damage to his car and flower pot.
• Retail Theft at Kohl’s, 200 block of West Chester Pike, on Jan. 16 at 4:29 p.m. – a 17-year-old male was cited for retail theft.
• Attempted Theft from Vehicles in the unit block of E. Langhorne Avenue on Jan. 16 at 11:02 p.m. – numerous vehicles were entered.
• Fraud in the 200 block of Frederick Road on Jan. 16 at 8:40 a.m. – victim lost a large amount of money due to a scam.
• Fraud in the 400 block of Blakely Road on Jan. 16 at 11:38 a.m. – victim states that large purchases were made using his Bank of America credit card; victim believes it happened at the Verizon store.
• Vandalism in the 600 block of Furlong Avenue on Jan. 16 at 7:40 p.m. – decorative snowman was broken.
• Theft from the YMCA, 800 block of N. Eagle Road, on Jan. 17 at 1:04 p.m. – victim’s headphones were taken off of an unattended bench.
• Theft at Lowe’s, 100 block of W. Township Line Road, on Jan. 17 at 12:47 p.m. – an unknown male took a power drill from the store.
• Retail Theft at Rite Aid, 1300 block of West Chester Pike, on Jan. 17 at 4:06 p.m. – a group of unknown juveniles stole merchandise and fled the store.
• Theft from Vehicle in the 100 block of E. Park Road on Jan. 17 at 1:56 p.m. – gloves and loose change were taken from the victims unlocked vehicle.
• Fraud in the 100 block of Ivy Rock Lane on Jan. 17 at 7:38 p.m. – victim’s Apple account was compromised and numerous charges were made using her bank account.
• Identity Theft in the 200 block of Farnham Road on Jan. 17 at 4:56 p.m. – a Verizon account was opened in the victim’s name.
• Vandalism in the 1700 block of Academy Lane on Jan. 17 at 1:33 p.m. – a ceramic pot was hit and broken.
• Burglary at R & S Automotive, 1200 block of West Chester Pike, on Jan. 19 at 7:44 a.m.; investigation is ongoing.
• Theft at Giant, 100 block of W. Township Line Road, on Jan. 19 at 2:32 p.m. – victim states that his registration was taken from his vehicle.
• Public Drunkenness in the 200 block of Glendale Road on Jan. 19 at 1:26 a.m. – a 23-year-old male, 2000 block of Majestic Overlook Drive, Bethlehem was cited.
• Attempted Theft at R & S Auto, 1200 block of West Chester Pike, on Jan. 20 at 6:51 a.m.
• Fraud in the 1900 block of Lawrence Road on Jan. 20 at 4:53 p.m. – credit cards were opened using the victim’s information.
• Identity Theft in the unit block Nancy Drive on Jan. 20 at 2:50 p.m. – an unauthorized person attempted to open a credit card using the victim’s social security number.
• Burglary at U-Haul, unit block of W. Township Line Road, on Jan. 21 at 7:29 a.m.; investigation is ongoing.
• Fraud at Wells Fargo Bank, 1100 block of West Chester Pike, on Jan. 21 at 12:01 p.m. – unauthorized purchases were made using the victim’s bank card.
• Vandalism in the 600 block of Dayton Road on Jan. 21 at 1:16 p.m. – words were scratched onto the hood of the victim’s vehicle.
• Retail Theft at Lowe’s, 100 block of W. Township Line Road, on Jan. 21 at 9:51 p.m. – an unknown make stole a power washer and other valuable merchandise from the store.
• Fraud in the 200 block of Flintlock Road on Jan. 21 at 3:09 p.m. – victim received an email requiring money in the form of gift cards; the email was a scam.

ARRESTS:

• A 17-year-old male was petitioned to juvenile court. Charges: Retail Theft Location: Kohl’s, 200 block of West Chester Pike. Date: Jan. 16 at 4:29 p.m.
• 41-year-old male, 700 block of E. Manoa Road, Havertown. Charges: Harassment, Strangulation, Simple Assault. Location: 700 block of E. Manoa Road. Date: Jan. 18 at 8:25 p.m.
• 28-year-old female, 2600 block of Kensington Avenue, Philadelphia. Charges: Arrest on Warrant. Location: 400 block of Glendale Road. Date: Jan. 19 at 1:23 p.m.
• A 17-year-old male was petitioned to juvenile court. Charges: Receiving Stolen Property. Location: Eagle and Pinzon Roads. Date: Jan. 19 at 12:21 p.m.
