Haverford Crime Blotter: Counterfeit Bills, Vandalism, More

HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — The latest crime blotter from Haverford Township Police is out, and the details are below.

Incidents in the blotter occurred between Oct. 23 and Oct. 30.

Also included in the blotter are arrests made and citations issued in that time frame.

INCIDENTS:

• Retail Theft at Lowe’s, 100 block of W. Township Line Road, on Oct. 23 at 8:52 p.m. – victim states that an unknown male took a nail gun and continued out the door without making a purchase; investigation is ongoing.
• Counterfeiting at ACME, 600 block of W. Lancaster Avenue, on Oct. 23 at 11:30 a.m. – victim states that two unknown males attempted to use counterfeit bills to make a purchase, they were denied and left the store; nothing was taken.
• Fraud at Unique Hearing Aids, 800 block of West Chester Pike, on Oct. 23 at 1 p.m. – victim states that she purchased new hearing aids; she was given a pair of used hearing aids.
• Theft from Vehicle in the 200 block of Foster Avenue on Oct. 24 at 6:33 a.m. – victim states that an unknown person stole his wallet from his vehicle; vehicle was parked in his driveway unlocked.
• Fraud in the 100 block of N. Ormond Avenue on Oct. 24 at 1:30 p.m. – victim states that an unknown person cashed in her airline miles for three airline tickets; account was closed and tickets have been cancelled.
• Fraud in the 1300 block of Center Road on Oct. 24 at 5:59 p.m. – victim states that she received a scam phone call and did provide her social security number.
• Theft from Vehicle at Direct Paint and Collision, 1000 block of N. Eagle Road, on Oct. 25 at 4:14 p.m. – victim went to retrieve his vehicle and noted that were items missing.
• Theft in the 200 block of Rodney Circle on Oct. 25 at 5:03 p.m. – victim states that an employee took money from his work truck.
• Bicycle Theft at the Haverford Middle School, 1700 block of Darby Road, on Oct. 25 at 8:29 p.m.
• Identity Theft in the 400 block of Strathmore Road on Oct. 25 at 2:20 p.m. – victim states that an unknown person used her personal information to open a bank account.
• Identity Theft in the 500 block of Achille Road on Oct. 25 at 4:49 p.m. – victim states that an unknown person gained access to his account and changed his address; no financial loss was suffered.
• Identity Theft in the unit block of Treaty Road on Oct. 26 at 9:40 a.m. – victim received a phone call and provided his social security number.
• Vandalism in the unit block of W. Hillcrest Avenue on Oct. 26 at 10:34 p.m. – a group of juveniles broke a mirror off of a parked vehicle.
• Theft from Vehicle in the 1500 block of Robinson Avenue on Oct. 27 at 9:09 a.m. – a backpack containing a laptop, speakers and mouse was taken out of the victims unlocked vehicle.
• Theft from Vehicle in the 1500 block of Robinson Avenue on Oct. 27 at 10:56 a.m. – numerous gift cards, credit cards and loose change was taken out the victims unlocked vehicle.
• Bicycle Theft in the 200 block of Hastings Avenue on Oct. 27 at 3:23 p.m.
• Vandalism in the 3200 block of Darby Road on Oct. 27 at 1:38 p.m. – a rock was thrown into the window of a cottage on the victim’s property.
• Retail Theft at Kohl’s, 200 block of West Chester Pike, on Oct. 29 at 9:52 a.m. – 49-year-old female, 300 block of Chelsea Avenue, Glenside was cited.
• Criminal Mischief in the 400 block of Heatherwood Road on Oct. 29 at 10:14 a.m. – victim states that an unknown person punched her driver side mirror causing damage.

ARRESTS:

• 32-year-old male, 900 block of E. Slocum Street, Philadelphia. Charges: Retail Theft and Use / Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Location: CVS, 1100 block of West Chester Pike. Date: Oct. 23 at 9:27 a.m.
• 33-year-old male, 1900 block of Wynnewood Road, Philadelphia. Charges: Retail Theft. Location: Kohl’s, 200 block of West Chester Pike. Date: Oct. 24 at 4:28 p.m.
• 44-year-old female, 300 block of Gulph Hills Road, Wayne. Charges: DUI. Location: 700 block of Haverford Road. Date: Oct. 26 at 1:02 a.m.
• 39-year-old female, unit block of Brookline Boulevard, Havertown. Charges: DUI. Location: 1600 block of Lawrence Road. Date: Oct. 26 at 9:33 p.m.
• 18-year-old female, 800 block of Aubrey Avenue, Ardmore. Charges: Burglary and Criminal Trespass. Location: 800 block of Aubrey Avenue. Date: Oct. 28 at 2:58 p.m.
