Haverford Crime Blotter: Counterfeit Money, Burglary, Fraud, More

HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Haverford Township issued their most recent crime blotter, and we have the details here.

The incidents featured in the blotter occurred between Nov. 6 and Nov. 11.

INCIDENTS:

• Fraud in the 100 block of Ivy Rock Lane on Nov. 6 at 7:05 a.m. – victim was scammed out of large amount money from a phone call offering to help bay the victim’s bills.
• Retail Theft at Kohl’s, 200 block of West Chester Pike, on Nov. 7 at 5:10 p.m. – 48-year-old female, 800 block of Burmont Road, Drexel Hill was cited for retail theft.
• Attempted Burglary in the unit block of N. Ormond Avenue on Nov. 8 at 3:41 p.m. – victim heard banging on the front door, upon going to answer, an unknown person was half way in the door; suspect fled.
• Fraud in the 700 block of W. Haverford Road on Nov. 8 at 6:45 p.m. - victim made large gift card purchases to send to an unknown person; social security scam.
• Theft from Vehicle at CVS, 1100 block of West Chester Pike, on Nov. 9 at 7:05 p.m. – rear view window was shattered on the vehicle while parked in the parking lot; backpack containing tools was taken.
• Theft from Vehicle at CVS, 1100 block of West Chester Pike, on Nov. 9 at 7:05 p.m. – driver’s side rear window was shattered on the vehicle while parked in the parking lot; purse was taken.
• Attempted Theft from Vehicle at Trinity Lutheran, 1100 block of West Chester Pike, on Nov. 9 at 9:32 p.m. – victim states that an unknown person attempted to punch the lock out on his vehicle; a purse was visible on the front seat.
• Fraud in the 200 block of Heatherwood Road on Nov. 9 at 1:43 p.m. – victim states that he misplaced his debit card, charges were made; card has since been canceled.
• Criminal Mischief in the 100 block of Warrior Road on Nov. 9 at 9:22 p.m. – victim states that the moon roof window was cracked on his vehicle.
• Vandalism in the unit block of E. Turnball Avenue on Nov. 9 at 12:33 p.m. – victim’s vehicles were pelted with eggs; vehicles were parked in the driveway.
• Theft from Vehicle in the 7000 block of Parkview Drive on Nov. 10 at 1610 hours – victim’s passenger was shattered; purse was taken.
• Retail Theft at Giant, 100 block of W. Township Line Road, on Nov. 10 at 10:36 p.m. – an unknown subject walked out of the store without paying for merchandise; investigation is ongoing.
• Retail Theft at Kohl’s, 200 block of West Chester Pike, on Nov. 11 at 6:05 p.m. – 40-year-old male, 5300 W. Columbia Avenue, Philadelphia was cited for retail theft.
• Theft in the 800 block of Haverford Road on Nov. 11 at 10:05 p.m. – victim reported her registration tags as lost / stolen.
• Counterfeiting at Rite Aid, 1300 block of West Chester Pike, on Nov. 11 at 6:50 p.m. – counterfeit bills were used to purchase gift cards; investigation is ongoing.

• 66-year-old male, 1000 Wyndon Avenue, Bryn Mawr. Charges: Recklessly Endangering Another Person, Driving while Suspended, Reckless Driving.. Location: Haverford and Eagle Roads. Date: Nov. 7, incident occurred on Sept. 5 at 7:12 p.m.
• 35-year-old female, 1000 block of West Chester Pike, Havertown. Charges: Aggravated Assault, Simple Assault, Recklessly Endangering Another Person, Harassment, Possessing Instruments of Crime. Location: 1000 block of West Chester Pike. Date: Nov. 6 at 12:08 p.m.
• 59-year-old male, 1200 block of Mason Avenue, Drexel Hill. Charges: DUI. Location: West Chester Pike and Township Line Road. Date: Nov. 6 at 10:57 p.m.
• 23-year-old male, 6000 Woodcrest Avenue, Philadelphia. Charges: Forgery, Theft by Deception, Receiving Stolen Property. Location: Burger King, 200 block of West Chester Pike,. Date: Nov. 8 at 2:23 a.m., incident occurred on July 8.
• 28-year-old male, 1300 Brown Street, Philadelphia. Charges: Access Device Fraud, Theft by Deception, Driving while Suspended. Location: Giant, 100 block of W. Township Line Road,. Date: Nov. 8 at 12:02 p.m.
• 65-year-old female, 7500 block of Sherwood Road, Philadelphia. Charges: Retail Theft. Location: Kohl’s, 200 block of West Chester Pike,. Date: Nov. 9 at 4:47 p.m.
