Haverford Crime Blotter: Dec 18 Through Dec 24

HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Haverford Township didn't release crime blotters during the holidays, but now the details are available.

The first blotter we are sharing features incidents that occurred between Dec. 18 and Dec. 24.

Also included are arrests made and citations issued.

INCIDENTS:

• Theft at the YMCA (800 block of N. Eagle Road) on Dec. 18 at 10:10 p.m. – victim states that he placed his jacket on a bench to wash his hands, an unknown person took credit cards out of his wallet; the victims credit was used to make a large purchase from Apple.
• Theft in the unit block of W. Benedict Avenue on Dec. 18 at 1:23 p.m. – victim states that a package was taken from her front door.
• Theft at West Gate Hills Rehab (2000 block of Old West Chester Pike) on Dec. 18 at 12:40 p.m. – victim states that money was taken out of his wallet.
• Fraud in the unit block of W. Mercer Avenue on Dec. 18 at 7:43 p.m. – victim states that she received a phone call from immigration stating that her husband would be arrested; victim was instructed to and sent a large amount of US currency.
• Disorderly Conduct at the Haverford Township Free Library (1600 block of Darby Road) on Dec. 18 at 4:45 p.m. – a 39-year old female, 2300 block of E. Darby Road, Havertown was cited.
• Theft in the 700 block of Aubrey Avenue on Dec. 19 at 12:05 p.m. – victim states that their property is vacant; they believe that a neighbor may be using their electricity.
• Theft in the 2300 block of Bryn Mawr Avenue on Dec. 19 at 6:34 p.m. – victim states that an unknown person took her registration plate off of her vehicle.
• Burglary in the 800 block of Haverford Road on Dec. 20 at 9:58 p.m. – victims home was ransacked, jewelry and US currency was missing, video cameras were tampered with; investigation is ongoing.
• Theft from Vehicle in the 2600 block of County Line Road on Dec. 20 at 2:24 p.m. – victim states that she was in a motor vehicle accident at the above location; an unknown male wearing a traffic vest offered to move her car, victim’s wallet was on the front passenger seat, US currency and credit cards are missing.
• Theft from Vehicle in the 1000 block of Remington Road on Dec. 20 at 9:36 a.m. – victim states that loose change and US currency was taken from her vehicle; vehicle was unlocked, parked in her driveway.
• Motor Vehicle Theft in the 700 block of Darby Road on Dec. 20 at 1:12 p.m. – victim states that his motorcycle was taken; investigation is ongoing.
• Identity Theft in the 700 block of Ardmore Avenue on Dec. 23 at 1:05 p.m. – victim states that an unknown person made fraudulent purchases using her credit card.
• Retail Theft at Kohl’s (200 block of West Chester Pike) on Dec. 20 at 5:48 p.m. – a 21-year-old male, 280 block of Holme Avenue, Philadelphia was cited for Retail Theft and Public Drunkenness.
• Retail Theft at Kohl’s (200 block of West Chester Pike) on Dec. 21 at 7:20 p.m. – an 18-year old male, 900 block of Rundale Avenue, Yeadon and an 18-year-old male, unit block of Elder Avenue, Philadelphia were cited.
• Theft in the 2500 block of Hirst Terrace on Dec. 21 at 12:30 p.m. – victim states that a sign was taken off of his front lawn.
• Theft in the 100 block of Milard Lane on Dec. 21 at 11:34 a.m. – victim’s vanity plate was taken off his vehicle. Vandalism in the 1500 block of Brierwood Road on Dec. 21 at 3:36 p.m. – victim states that a group of juveniles threw rocks at his vehicle causing damage.
• Theft at the YMCA (800 block of N. Eagle Road) on Dec. 23 at 11:30 a.m. – victim left his wallet unattended in the locker room, unauthorized purchases were made using his missing credit cards.
• Theft at Pep Boys (500 block of West Chester Pike) on Dec. 23 at 11:30 a.m. – victim states that during an inventory check; inspection and emission stickers were discovered to be missing.
• Attempted Retail Theft at Acme (1300 block of West Chester Pike) on Dec. 23 at 10:32 p.m. – victim states that two unknown actors attempted to steal alcoholic beverages from the store; actors fled leaving behind a backpack.
• Fraud in the 3000 block of Robin Lane on Dec. 23 at 5:19 p.m. – victim states that an unauthorized person gained access to her PNC bank account.
• Fraud in the 200 block of Fairlamb Avenue on Dec. 24 at 11:42 a.m. – victim states that an unknown person opened a Comcast account using his information.

ARRESTS:

• 36-year-old male, 1700 block of Sue Ellen Drive, Havertown. Charges: DUI, Possession of Marijuana, Use / Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Location: Lawrence and Springhouse Roads. Date: Dec. 18 at 4:45 p.m.
• 28-year-ol-male, unit block of Garret Road, Upper Darby. Charges: Aggravated Assault and Strangulation. Location: unit block of E. Eagle Road. Date: Dec. 18 at 8:08 p.m.
• 27-year-old male, unit block of Victory Way, Upper Chichester. Charges: Unlawful Use of an Audio or Video Device in Court. Location: 500 block of West Chester Pike. Date: Dec. 19 at 9:30 p.m.
• 44-year-old male, 700 block of N. Bucknell Street, Philadelphia. Charges: Possession of Controlled Substance and Use / Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Location: 400 block of Colfax Road. Date: Dec. 20 at 11:50 a.m.
• 58-year-old male, 600 block of N. Manoa Road, Havertown. Charges: DUI and Careless Driving. Location: W. Eagle Road and Oakmont Avenue. Date: Dec. 20 at 7:30 p.m.
• 25-year-old female, 100 block of Glendale Road, Havertown. Charges: Possession of Controlled Substance and Use / Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Location: 100 block of Glendale Road. Date: Dec. 21 at 10:22 a.m.
• 19-year-old female, 5700 block of W. Oxford Street, Philadelphia. Charges: Retail Theft. Location: Kohl’s (200 block of West Chester Pike). Date: Dec. 23 at 5:36 p.m.
• 28-year-old male, 1400 block of S. 54th Street, Philadelphia. Charges: Retail Theft, Resisting Arrest, Possession of Controlled Substance, Possession of Marijuana, Use / Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Location: Kohl’s (200 block of West Chester Pike). Date: Dec. 24 at 2:06 p.m.
