Haverford Crime Blotter: Fraud, Vandalism, Theft, More

HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Haverford Township released their latest crime blotter Thursday.
The blotter features incidents that occurred in the township between Sept. 30 and Oct. 6.
It also includes arrests made and citations issued in that time period.

INCIDENTS:

- Theft at Kohl’s, 200 block of West Chester Pike, on Sept. 30 at 2:35 p.m. — Unlocked vehicle was entered, wallet was stolen.
- Retail Theft at Acme, 1300 block of West Chester Pike, on Sept. 30 at 2:29 p.m. — An employee reported that an unknown male stole $195.23 worth of merchandise and fled the store.
- Theft at the 200 block of Farwood Road on Oct. 1 at 5:52 p.m. — Several packages were stolen after they were delivered.
- Identity Theft at the 1400 block of Dorchester Road on Oct. 1 at 10:36 p.m. — Victim reported that she received an email from someone claiming to be from Amazon. She was asked to provide account information and to purchase Amazon gift cards. The victim became aware of the scam before sending the gift cards.
- Criminal Mischief at the 100 block of Sycamore Road on Oct. 1 at 10:06 a.m. — Lawn sign was removed from the victim’s front porch and thrown to the side.
- Theft at the unit block of Colonial Road on Oct. 2 at 3:39 p.m. — Victim reported that eight $50 Nintendo EShop Gift cards and a checkbook were stolen from her residence.
- Fraud at the 1400 block of Windsor Park Lane on Oct. 2 at 4:33 p.m. — Victim reported that an unauthorized purchase was made with his credit card.
- Vandalism at the 100 block of Heatherwood Road on Oct. 2 at 3:37 p.m. — Bicycle tire was slashed.
- Vandalism at the Friends School, 800 block of Buck Lane, on Oct. 2 at 9:30 p.m. — Graffiti was discovered on the school building.
- Bicycle Theft at the 400 block of Darby Road on Oct. 3 at 5:15 p.m.
- Theft at the 300 block of Bewley Road on Oct. 3 at 12:06 p.m. — Unlocked vehicle was entered; approximately $30 was stolen.
- Identity Theft at Haverford Village, 700 block of Ardmore Avenue, on Oct. 3 at 12:15 p.m. — Victim reported that someone used his identity to open a credit card account and change his address with the Social Security Office.
- Vandalism at the 600 block of Country Club Lane on Oct. 3 at 11:52 p.m. — A flagpole from a nearby gold course was thrown through the victim’s window.
- Bicycle Theft at the 100 block of Llandaff Road on Oct. 5 at 5:38 p.m.
- Theft at the 300 block of Lenox Road on Oct. 5 at 5:31 p.m. — Victim reported that a vehicle magnet that displayed his company was stolen.
- Public Drunkenness at the Bus Route and Haverford Road on Oct. 5 at 7:41 p.m. — 40-year-old male, 100 block of Hickory Lane, Bryn Mawr, was cited for public drunkenness.
- Theft at Havertown Collision, 1300 block of Lawrence Road, on Oct. 6 at 1:02 p.m. — Several tow trucks were entered; approximately $4,000 worth of equipment was stolen.
- Theft at the 1900 block of West Chester Pike on Oct. 6 at 1:45 p.m. — Catalytic converter was stolen from a vehicle.
- Vandalism at the 900 block of Railroad Avenue on Oct. 6 at 10:48 a.m. — Vehicle was spray-painted.
ARRESTS:
- 31-year-old male, 100 block of South Maryland Avenue, Wilmington, Delaware. Charges: Receiving stolen property, fleeing to elude a police officer, reckless driving, careless driving, possession of marijuana and criminal mischief. Location: unit block of Colonial Road. Date: Oct. 2 at 8 a.m.
- 35-year-old male, unit block of Holbrook Road, Havertown. Charges: Aggravated assault, simple assault and possession of offensive weapons. Location: unit block of Holbrook Road. Date: Oct. 2 at 1:42 p.m.
