Haverford Crime Blotter: Identity Theft, Stolen Car, More

HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Haverford Township recently released their weekly crime blotter.

Incidents in the blotter occurred between Oct. 7 and Oct. 13.

The blotter also includes arrests made and citations issued.

INCIDENTS:

• Fraud at the 600 block of Lawson Avenue on Oct. 7 at 3:38 p.m. – Victim reported that someone filed for unemployment benefits using her identity.
• Vandalism at the 100 block of Marple Road on Oct. 9 at 4:30 p.m. – Mailbox was damaged.
• Retail Theft at Wawa, 1000 block of Darby Road, on Oct. 10 at 2:36 a.m. – 18-year-old male was cited with disorderly conduct for the retail theft of $1.29 worth of merchandise.
• Retail Theft at CVS, unit block of W. Eagle Road, on Oct. 11 at 7:45 p.m. – An unknown male stole approximately $300 worth of Nexium and fled the store.
• Theft at the 100 block of E. Golfview Road on Oct. 11 at 11:28 a.m. – Political sign was stolen.
• Motor Vehicle Theft at the unit block of W. Golf View Road on Oct. 11 at 9:20 a.m.
• Identity Theft at the 700 block of Panmure Road on Oct. 11 at 2:55 p.m. – Victim reported that someone gained access to her checking account and withdrew $1,500.
• Vandalism at Nitre Hall, 1800 block of Karakung Drive, on Oct. 13 at 11:46 a.m. – Window was broken.

ARRESTS:

• 52-year-old female, 300 block of Twin Oaks Drive, Havertown. Charges: DUI. Location: Mercer Avenue and Darby Road. Date: Oct. 9 at 10:29 p.m.
• 20-year-old male, 7500 block of Overbrook Avenue, Philadelphia. Charges: Accidents involving damage to attended vehicle, failure to stop and render aid, no insurance and safety restraints. Location: 2000 block of West Chester Pike. Date: Oct. 9 at 7:57 p.m.
• 37-year-old male, 5400 block of Morris Street, Philadelphia. Charges: DUI, possession of a controlled substance and suspended driver's license. Location: West Chester Pike and Country Club Lane. Date: Oct. 9 at 4:10 p.m.
• 30-year-old female, 200 block of Harrison Road, Brookhaven. Charges: Possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Location: Giant, 100 block of W. Township Line Road. Date: Oct. 10 at 1:16 p.m.
• 22-year-old male, 300 block of W. 5th Street, Conshohocken. Charges: DUI. Location: Old West Chester Pike and West Chester Pike. Date: Oct. 10 at 10:52 p.m.
• 31-year-old male, unit block of Tunbridge Road, Haverford. Charges: Simple assault and harassment. Location: unit block of Tunbridge Road. Date: Oct. 10 at 12:31 a.m.
