Haverford Crime Blotter: Stolen Vehicles, Identity Thefts, More

Police reported two incidences of identity theft in which someone used residents' identities to open credit card and wireless accounts.

HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Haverford Township issued their weekly crime blotter Wednesday.

Incidents in the blotter occurred between Sept. 9 and Sept. 15.

The blotter also includes recent arrests and citations issued.

  • Retail Theft at Kohl’s, 200 block of West Chester Pike, on Sept. 9 at 10:08 p.m. – An unknown male stole an unknown amount of merchandise.
  • Motor Vehicle Theft at U-Haul, unit block of West Township Line Road, on Sept. 9 at 10:11 a.m.
  • Motor Vehicle Theft at U-Haul, unit block of West Township Line Road, on Sept. 9 at 10:17 a.m.
  • Fraud at the 400 block of Earlington Road on Sept. 9 at 7:10 a.m. – Victim reported that someone attempted to make multiple unauthorized purchase with his credit card.
  • Bicycle Theft at the unit block of Hannum Drive on Sept. 10 at 7:46 p.m.
  • Fraud at the 100 block of West Eagle Road on Sept. 10 at 1:45 p.m. – Victim reported that someone gained access to her Eppicard account and made a cash withdraw.
  • Identity Theft at the 2500 block of Chestnut Avenue on Sept. 10 at 5 p.m. – Victim reported that someone opened a credit card account using her identity.
  • Theft at the 400 block of East Township Line Road on Sept. 11 at 1:42 p.m. – Vehicle registration was stolen.
  • Criminal Mischief at Wawa, 1000 block of Darby Road, on Sept. 11 at 7:51 p.m. – Vehicle was keyed.
  • Liquor Law Violation at Steel Field on Sept. 11 at 8:38 p.m. – 14-year-old female was cited for underage drinking and parks hours of operation.
  • Theft at the 600 block of Valley View Road on Sept. 14 at 8:29 a.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered – loose change was stolen.
  • Attempted Theft at the 2700 block of Belmont Avenue on Sept. 14 at 11:34 a.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered – nothing was reported missing.
  • Identity Theft at the 1600 block of Rose Glen Road on Sept. 15 at 7:03 p.m. – Victim reported that someone opened a Verizon account using her identity.

ARRESTS:

  • 26-year-old male, 100 block of Myrtle Avenue, Havertown. Charges: Simple assault, criminal mischief, possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Location: 100 block of Myrtle Avenue. Date: Sept. 11 at 1:54 p.m.
  • 31-year-old female, 2700 block of Cynwyd Avenue, Broomall. Charges: Theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property and unauthorized use of motor vehicle. Location: 200 block of Warrior Road. Date: Sept. 11 at 4:30 p.m.
  • 63-year-old male, 200 block of Price Avenue, Narberth. Charges: DUI. Location: East Township Line Road and West Chester Pike. Date: Sept. 13 at 6:21 p.m.
  • 54-year-old male, 100 block of Salford Street, Philadelphia. Charges: Retail theft, possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Location: Giant, 100 block of West Township Line Road. Date: Sept. 14 at 2:15 p.m.
