Haverford Crime Blotter: Theft, Fraud, Underage Drinking, More

A person's wallet was stolen from the YMCA and $15,000 in unauthorized purchases were made with the credit cards, police said. Details here.

HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Haverford Township released their weekly crime blotter Wednesday.

The blotter contains police-handled incidents, as well as arrests made and citations issued.

INCIDENTS:

  • Theft at the 300 block of Golf Hills Road on June 26 at 9:32 p.m. – Victim reported her credit card missing and two unauthorized purchases made with the card.
  • Criminal Mischief at Veteran’s Park, unit block of W. Manoa Road, on June 27 at 11:13 a.m. - Graffiti was reported.
  • Bicycle Theft at the 800 block of Dover Road on June 28 at 7:33 p.m.
  • Theft at Bryn Mawr Pediatrics, 600 block of Haverford Road, on June 28 at 6:14 p.m. – Victim reported that approximately $120 was stolen from her purse. The purse was located inside the staff only office.
  • Theft at the YMCA, 800 block of N. Eagle Road, on June 30 at 11:47 a.m. – Victim reported his credit cards were stolen from his wallet. His wallet was in a secured locker. $15,000 in unauthorized purchases were made with the credit cards.
  • Liquor Law Violation at the 300 block of E. Township Line Road on June 30 at 2:46 a.m. – 18-year-old female was cited for underage drinking and public drunkenness.
  • Fraud at the 900 block of Old Manoa Road on July 1 at 10:21 a.m. – Victim reported that a $400 check was fraudulently cashed.
  • Criminal Mischief at Paddock Park, 200 block of W. Hillcrest Avenue, on July 1 at 3:10 p.m – Unknown actors set off fireworks on the Pickleball Court damaging several areas throughout the court surface.
  • Fraud at the 1400 block of Leedom Drive on July 2 at 4:12 p.m – Victim reported that seven of his credit cards were stolen from his wallet sometime between June 30 and July 1. Multiple unauthorized charges were made with the credit cards.
  • Identity Theft at the 200 block of Strathmore Road on July 2 at 4:14 p.m. – Victim reported that someone opened a credit card account using his identity and made over $7,000 in purchases.

  • 29-year-old male, 800 block of Penn Street, Bryn Mawr. Charges: Possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Location: 800 block of Penn Street. Date: July 1 at 7:51 a.m.
  • 57-year-old male, 400 block of N. Edgewood Street, Philadelphia. Charges: Possession of drug paraphernalia and unregistered vehicle. Location: 1100 block of West Chester Pike. Date: July 1 at 11:26 p.m.
  • 17-year-old male was petitioned to juvenile court. Charges: Possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Location: Pennsy Trail, 100 block of Harvard Road. Date: June 28 at 9:41 p.m.
