Haverford Crime Blotter: Vandalism, Theft, Fraud, More

HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Haverford Township issued their weekly crime blotter Wednesday.

Incidents in the blotter occurred between Sept. 16 and Sept. 22.

The blotter also features arrests made and citations issued.

INCIDENTS:

• Bicycle Theft at the unit block of East Marthart Avenue on Sept. 16 at 10:19 a.m.
• Criminal Mischief at the unit block of Landover Road on Sept. 16 at 1:30 p.m. – Political sign was damaged.
• Disorderly Conduct at West Darby and West Benedict Roads on Sept. 16 at 5:34 p.m. – Two juvenile males were cited for disorderly conduct.
• Retail Theft at Kohl’s, 200 block of West Chester Pike, on Sept. 17 at 9:23 p.m. – An unknown male fled the store with a laundry basket filled with an unknown amount of merchandise.
• Theft at the 100 block of Rockwood Drive on Sept. 17 at 9:31 a.m. – Two political signs were stolen.
• Fraud at the 600 block of Malvern Road on Sept. 17 at 10:35 a.m. – Two unauthorized purchases were made with the victim’s credit card.
• Identity Theft at the 500 block of Virginia Avenue on Sept. 17 at 4:06 p.m. – Victim reported that someone used her identity to file for unemployment benefits.
• Criminal Mischief at the unit block of Landover Road on Sept. 17 at 6:52 p.m. – Political sign was damaged.
• Bicycle Theft at Haverford Middle School on Sept. 18 at 9:21 p.m.
• Criminal Mischief at the 100 block of Signal Drive on Sept. 19 at 7:20 p.m. – Vehicle window was shattered.
• Theft at the 400 block of Spring Road on Sept. 21 at 7:02 p.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered – prescription sunglasses, $600 and a coin purse was stolen.
• Theft at Bryn Mawr Terrace, 900 block of Railroad Avenue, on Sept. 21 at 4:46 p.m. – A resident reported money missing from her room.
• Theft at the unit block of Hillcrest Avenue on Sept. 21 at 2:55 p.m. – Political signs were stolen.
• Motor Vehicle Theft at the 400 block of Brentwood Avenue on Sept. 21 at 8:56 p.m.
• Counterfeiting at Giant, 100 block of West Township Line Road, on Sept. 21 at 8:14 p.m. – A counterfeit $100 bill was used to purchase $9.18 worth of groceries.
• Vandalism at Boardwalk Vegan, unit block of North Manoa Road, on Sept. 21 at 2:28 p.m. – Planters were knocked over outside of the business.
• Bicycle Theft at the 1100 block of West Chester Pike on Sept. 22 at 8:13 a.m.
• Theft at the 700 block of Merion Avenue on Sept. 22 at 11:23 a.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered – loose change and registration was stolen.
• Theft at the unit block of E. Clearfield Road on Sept. 22 at 3:50 p.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered – A purse containing $30, driver’s license and credit cards was stolen.
• Identity Theft at the 500 block of Achille Road on Sept. 22 at 5 p.m. – Victim reported that someone used his identity to file for unemployment benefits and open two credit card accounts.

ARRESTS:

• 31-year-old male, 2300 block of Hagert Street, Philadelphia. Charges: Retail theft, criminal conspiracy and receiving stolen property. Location: Kohl’s, 200 block of West Chester Pike. Date: Sept. 16 at 9:15 p.m.
• 30-year-old male, 2100 block of North 22nd Street, Philadelphia. Charges: Retail theft, criminal conspiracy, receiving stolen property, possession of a controlled substance and possession of an instrument of crime. Location: Kohl’s, 200 block of West Chester Pike. Date: Sept. 16 at 9:15 p.m.
• 33-year-old male, 3700 block of Taylor Avenue, Drexel Hill. Charges: Possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Location: unit block of Rodmor Road. Date: Sept. 16 at 5:20 p.m.
• 34-year-old male, 6900 block of Clinton Road, Upper Darby. Charges: Assault by prisoner, terroristic threats, institutional vandalism, harassment and disorderly conduct. Location: unit block of Brookline Boulevard. Date: Sept. 17 at 9:50 a.m.; incident occurred on Sept. 10.
• 36-year-old male, 2800 block of Lawrence Road, Philadelphia. Charges: Assault of law enforcement officer and harassment by physical contact. Location: unit block of Park Road. Date: Sept. 20 at 12:17 a.m.
• 21-year-old male, 5200 block of Palmers Mill Road, Clifton Heights. Charges: Possession of marijuana and traffic offenses. Location: unit block of Garlor Drive. Date: Sept. 22 at 9:45 p.m.
