HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — Haverford Township Police issued their weekly crime blotter Wednesday. All the details are below.
The blotter covers incidents that occurred in the township between Aug. 21 and Aug. 27.
It also features arrests made and citations issued recently.

INCIDENTS:

- Theft at the 700 block of Ashurst Road on Aug. 21 at 6:42 a.m. – Forced entry was made into a vehicle. Several credit cards and $250 in cash was stolen. Over $1,500 in unauthorized purchases were made with the credit cards.
- Fraud at the 1100 block of Darby Road on Aug. 21 at 7:04 p.m. – Two unauthorized purchases were attempted with the victim’s credit card.
- Identity Theft at the 1100 block of Allston Road on Aug. 21 at 10:41 a.m. – Victim reported that someone opened a credit card account using her identity.
- Identity Theft at the 100 block of S. Eagle Road on Aug. 21 at 10:58 a.m. – An unknown person used the victim’s identity to forward his mail to a new address.
- Retail Theft at Giant, 100 block of W. Township Line Road, on Aug. 21 at 12:47 p.m. – 18-year-old male, 300 block of Rittenhouse Circle was cited for disorderly conduct for the retail theft of $6.35 worth of groceries.
- Burglary at the unit block of Decatur Road on Aug. 22 at 9:54 a.m. – Entry was gained through an unlocked door. Nintendo DS, iPad, iPod, and two wallets containing a debit card, credit cards, gifts cards, $65, identification and a social security card were stolen. Unlocked vehicle was also entered and rummaged through. Nothing was reported missing.
- Theft at the unit block of Decatur Road on Aug. 22 at 11:11 a.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered – laptop was stolen.
- Retail Theft at Kohl’s, 200 block of West Chester Pike, on Aug. 22 at 8:34 p.m. – Two unknown males stole a pair of sneakers and two pairs of socks and fled the store.
- Theft at the unit block of Decatur Road on Aug. 22 at 7:49 a.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered – gym bag was stolen.
- Attempted Theft at the unit block of Decatur Road on Aug. 22 at 10:08 a.m. – Two unlocked vehicles were entered – nothing was reported missing.
- Attempted Theft at the unit block of Decatur Road on Aug. 22 at 10:16 a.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered – nothing was reported missing.
- Criminal Mischief at the 500 block of Brookline Boulevard on Aug. 22 at 3:37 p.m. – Victim reported that his vehicle rear windshield was broken and a window pane in the front door had a small hole in it.
- Theft at the 1100 block of West Chester Pike on Aug. 23 at 2:48 p.m. – Victim reported that she left two scratch off tickets at the counter after speaking with the bank teller. She later returned and the lottery tickets were missing.
- Criminal Mischief at Haverford Library, 1600 block of Darby Road, on Aug. 23 at 12:20 p.m. – Graffiti was reported.
- Vandalism at the Haverford Township Building, 1000 block of Darby Road, on Aug. 23 at 3:50 p.m. – Dog feces was thrown on a vehicle window.
- Public Drunkenness at the unit block of Nancy Drive on Aug. 24 at 4:11 a.m. – 34-year-old male, 100 block of Fairlamb Avenue, was cited for public drunkenness.
- Theft at the Quadrangle, 3300 block of Darby Road, on Aug. 26 at 12:47 p.m. – Victim reported $25 missing from her purse.
- Fraud at the 3000 block of Robin Lane on Aug. 26 at 9:05 a.m. – Three unauthorized purchases were made with the victim’s credit card.
- Criminal Mischief at the 900 block of Haverford Road on Aug. 26 at 10:50 a.m. - Property owner reported a rear window was broken.
- Retail Theft at Kohl’s, 200 block of West Chester Pike, on Aug. 27 at 12:54 p.m. – 18-year-old male, unit block of Darby Road, was cited for the retail theft of $50 worth of merchandise.
- Theft at Haverford College, 300 block of Lancaster Avenue, on Aug. 27 at 8:07 p.m. – Victim reported that $80 was stolen from his wallet while he was in the fitness center.
- Motor Vehicle Thefts at U-Haul, unit block of E. Township Line Road, on Aug. 27 at 12:42 p.m. – Two trucks were rented in the beginning of August and not returned.
- Vandalism at the 200 block of Manoa Road on Aug. 27 at 2:35 p.m. – Vehicle was scratched.
ARRESTS:
- 20-year-old male, 5000 block of Westminster Avenue, Philadelphia. Charges: Forgery, access device fraud, theft by deception and theft by unlawful taking. Location: Giant, 100 block of W. Township Line Road. Date: Aug. 15 at 1:44 p.m., incident occurred on July 6.
- 26-year-old male, 5800 block of Hudson Road, Bensalem. Charges: Possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Location: Haverford Hill Condominiums, 400 block of Glendale Road. Date: Aug. 24 at 1219 hours
- 29-year-old female, 600 block of Penllyn Pike, Ambler. Charges: Possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Location: Haverford Hills Condominiums. Date: Aug. 24 at 1220 hours
- 46-year-old male, 2600 block of Orchard Drive, Broomall. Charges: Possession of an instrument of crime, aggravated assault, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, terroristic threats, harassment, public drunkenness and disorderly conduct. Location: Barnaby’s, 1900 block of Old West Chester Pike. Date: Aug. 25 at 1:13 a.m.
- 28-year-old male, 1400 block of Van Buren Avenue, Wilmington, DE. Charges: Warrant Location: West Chester Pike and Lawrence Road. Date: Aug. 27 at 11:05 p.m.
