Haverford Police Blotter: 22 Unlocked Vehicles Entered

Twenty of the 22 unlocked vehicles were entered on May 1 alone. See details on these and other crimes in the township here.

HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — Haverford Township Police released their weekly crime blotter May 8, and we have the details here.

The blotter covers incidents that occurred between May 1 and May 7.

Notably, police reported 22 thefts from vehicles or attempted thefts from vehicles, all of which were unlocked.

INCIDENTS:

  • Theft at the unit block of Williams Road on May 1 at 7:09 a.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered – wallet containing gift cards and $40 was stolen.
  • Theft at Cardinal Foley, 300 block of E. Eagle Road, on May 1 at 4:36 p.m. – Victim reported someone removed electrical equipment from the rides that were set up. The total loss of missing equipment is $6,250.
  • Theft at the 1200 block of Edgewood Road on May 1 at 9 a.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered - $100, valet key and loose change was stolen.
  • Theft at the unit block of Meadows Lane on May 1 at 6:03 a.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered – battery charger was stolen.
  • Theft at the 1000 block of Allston Road on May 1 at 8:34 p.m. – Two unlocked vehicles were entered – loose change was stolen.
  • Theft at the 300 block of Highland Lane on May 1 at 8:43 p.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered – loose change was stolen.
  • Theft at the 500 block of Kathmere Road on May 1 at 1:25 p.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered – loose change was stolen.
  • Theft at the 200 block of Kenmore Road on May 1 at 2:12 p.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered – a check was stolen.
  • Theft at the 300 block of Highland Lane on May 1 at 7:12 p.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered – loose change was stolen.
  • Theft at the 1200 block of Edgewood Road on May 1 at 8:31 p.m. — Unlocked vehicle was entered – loose change was stolen.
  • Attempted Theft at the 1100 block of Allston Road on May 1 at 7:23 a.m. – Two unlocked vehicles were entered – nothing was reported missing.
  • Attempted Theft at the 400 block of Kenmore Road on May 1 at 7:50 a.m. - Two unlocked vehicles were entered – nothing was reported missing.
  • Attempted Theft at the 300 block of Kenmore Road on May 1 at 8:14 a.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered – nothing was reported missing.
  • Attempted Theft at the 400 block of Kathmere Road on May 1 at 7:38 a.m. - Unlocked vehicle was entered – nothing was reported missing.
  • Attempted Theft at the unit block of Williams Road on May 1 at 7:07 a.m. - Unlocked vehicle was entered – nothing was reported missing.
  • Attempted Theft at the 300 block of Sagamore Road on May 1 at 3:49 p.m. - Unlocked vehicle was entered – nothing was reported missing.
  • Attempted Theft at the 1000 block of Allston Road on May 1 at 4:54 p.m. - Unlocked vehicle was entered – nothing was reported missing.
  • Attempted Theft at the 200 block of Kenmore Road on May 1 at 6:30 p.m. - Unlocked vehicle was entered – nothing was reported missing.
  • Vandalism at the unit block of Vernon Road on May 1 at 4:04 p.m. – Victim reported that an unknown actor drew obscenities on his work van with a red marker.
  • Disorderly Conduct at Sunoco Gas Station, 400 block of E. Township Line Road, on May 1 at 11:47 p.m. – White male, 34, 1200 block of Steel Road was cited for disorderly conduct and public drunkenness.
  • Theft at Family Medicine, 400 block of West Chester Pike, on May 2 at 8:14 a.m. – Petty cash was reported missing.
  • Theft at Family Medicine, 400 block of West Chester Pike, on May 2 at 8:14 a.m. – Victim reported that someone stole her credit card from her backpack. Three unauthorized purchases were made with the credit card.
  • Theft at Family Medicine, 400 block of West Chester Pike, on May 2 at 8:14 a.m. – Victim reported $5 missing from her bag.
  • Fraud at Katz Pharmacy, unit block of E. Eagle Road, on May 2 at 9:47 a.m. – Victim reported multiple unauthorized charges made with his credit card.
  • Vandalism at the unit block of W. Marthart Avenue on May 2 at 8:23 a.m. – Vehicle window was shattered.
  • Attempted Theft at the unit block of Upland Road on May 3 at 4:21 a.m. – Police were dispatched to the above location for the report of a suspicious male running from his neighbor’s vehicle. Police reviewed video surveillance and observed a black male enter a vehicle. Police located that suspect and conducted a pedestrian stop. Black male, 21 was arrested.
  • Attempted Theft at the 600 block of Ashurst Road on May 3 at 0629 hours – Police
  • were dispatched to the above location for a black male attempting to enter vehicles. Officers located a subject matching the description and conducted a pedestrian stop. Black male, 29 was arrested.
  • Attempted Theft at the 600 block of Ashurst Road on May 3 at 0700 hours – Unlocked vehicle was entered – nothing was reported missing.
  • Attempted Theft at the 800 block of Grove Place on May 3 at 0725 hours – Unlocked vehicle was entered – nothing was reported missing.
  • Motor Vehicle Theft at U-Haul, unit block of E. Township Line Road, on May 3 at 1100 hours.
  • Motor Vehicle Theft at U-Haul, unit block of E. Township Line Road, May 3 at 1115 hours.
  • Vandalism at the unit block of Grove Place on May 3 at 1219 hours – Victim reported a scratch on the trunk of his vehicle.
  • Retail Theft at Giant, 100 block of W. Township Line Road, on May 5 at 1016 hours – A white male stole $40.38 worth of merchandise and fled the store.
  • Identity Theft at the 500 block of Shelbourne Road on May 6 at 1426 hours – Victim reported that an unknown person opened a target credit card account, Verizon and AT&T account using her identity.
  • Identity Theft at the 300 block of Walnut Hill Lane on May 6 at 1240 hours – An unknown person created an online social security account using the victim’s identity and requested a change of address.
  • Attempted Robbery at 7-11, 100 block of E Eagle Road, on May 7 at 1023 hours – The store clerk reported that a white male entered the store and put a box of ear buds in his pocket. The employee asked the suspect to return the earbuds and he got angry and threatened the employee.
  • Fraud at the 100 block of Green Lane on May 7 at 1430 hours – Victim reported that twelve checks were fraudulently cashed totaling a $5,081.89 loss.
  • Vandalism at the 2000 block of Darby Road on May 7 at 1903 hours – Vehicle was keyed.

ARRESTS:

  • White female, 26, 7100 block of Sellers Avenue, Upper Darby. Charges: Possession of drug paraphernalia, no insurance, registration or drivers License. Location: West Chester Pike and Naylors Run Road. Date: April 30, 2:15 p.m.
  • White male, 65, 1000 block of Hampstead Road, Wynnewood. Charges: DUI, public drunkenness and disorderly conduct. Location: Manoa and Eagle Roads. Date: May 1 at 1 a.m.
  • Black male, 21, 800 block of Whitby Avenue, Yeadon. Charges: Theft from a motor vehicle. Location: unit block of Upland Road. Date: May 3 at 4:21 a.m.
  • Black male, 29, 2300 block of Alfred Drive, Yeadon. Charges: Theft from a motor vehicle, possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Location: 600 block of Ashurst Road. Date: May 3 at 6:29 a.m.
  • White male, 32, 1100 block of Queen Lane, West Chester. Charges: DUI and reckless driving. Location: Barnaby’s, 1900 block of Old West Chester Pike. Date: May 4 at 2:12 a.m.
  • White male, 34, 600 block of Green Street, Woodbury, NJ. Charges: Robbery, retail theft, receiving stolen property, terroristic threats, simple assault and disorderly conduct. Location: 7-11, 100 block of E. Eagle Road. Date: May 7 at 10:23 a.m.
  • White male, 17 was petitioned to juvenile court. Charges: Possession of marijuana. Location: 1100 block of Garfield Road. Date: May 1 at 2:04 p.m.
  • White male, 15 was petitioned to juvenile court. Charges: Public drunkenness, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Location: Haverford High School, 200 block of Mill Road. Date: May 6 at 12:29 p.m.
