Haverford Police Blotter: Arson, Identity Theft, Fraud, More

HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — The latest Haverford Township Police crime blotter is out, and the details are below.

The blotter covers incidents that occurred between June 5 and June 11 in the township.

Also included are arrests made and citations issued in that time frame.

INCIDENTS:

• Theft at the 100 block of Ellis Road on June 5 at 9:27 p.m. – Victim reported that two checks were stolen from his dining room table and cashed. Total loss was $491.26.
• Arson at the Haverford Township Library (1600 block of E. Darby Road) on June 5 at 3:57 p.m. – Juveniles lit cotton balls on fire on a book shelf.
• Identity Theft at Holly House Apartments (unit block of W. Eagle Road) on June 5 at 10:39 a.m. – Victim received a call from someone claiming to be from a federal agency. He provided the caller with his social security number and birth date.
• Identity Theft at the 2900 block of Morris Road on June 5 at 8:55 p.m. – Victim’s address was changed on her AT&T account without her permission or knowledge.
• Disorderly Conduct at Wawa (1000 block of Darby Road) on June 5 at 2:50 p.m. – 15-year-old male was cited for disorderly conduct.
• Criminal Mischief at Township Line Road and Farwood Road on June 6 st 8:39 p.m. – An unknown male kicked the passenger side mirror of a motorcycle during a road rage incident.
• Theft at the 100 block of Colfax Road on June 7 at 5:35 p.m. – Victim reported that a person known to her activated her debit card and made two withdraws totaling $1,810.
• Bicycle Theft at The Haverford Middle School (1700 block of Darby Road) on June 7 at 4:41 p.m.
• Identity Theft at the unit block of Woodcroft Avenue on June 7 at 12:03 p.m. – Two credit card accounts were opened using the victim’s identity.
• Fraud at the 100 block of Stockton Road on June 8 at 8:08 p.m. – An unauthorized purchase was made with the victim’s credit card.
• Identity Theft at the 1900 block of Melrose Avenue on June 8 at 1:30 p.m. – Two credit card accounts were opened using the victim’s identity.
• Burglary at the 800 block of Cricket Avenue on June 9 at 12:35 p.m. – A bicycle was stolen from an enclosed porch.
• Attempted Burglary at the unit block of Myrtle Avenue on June 9 at 8:46 a.m. – Two first floor window screens were cut. Entry was unsuccessful due to the interior safety locks being utilized.
• Theft at the 500 block of Wales Road on June 9 at 11:17 a.m. – Two unlocked vehicles were entered – loose change was stolen.
• Fraud at the unit block of S. Eagle Road on June 10 at 10:25 a.m. – Victim received a call from a person claiming to be from Apple computers. She provided the caller with $300 in Google Play cards before realizing it was a scam.
• Identity Theft at the unit block of Hastings Road on June 10 at 6 p.m. – Victim reported that someone opened two credit card accounts using his identity.
• Bicycle Theft at Haverford College (unit block of Hannum Drive) on June 11 at 11:13 a.m.

• 27-year-old female, 400 block of Sunset Drive, Downingtown. CHGS: Possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, suspended driver’s license and restrictions on alcoholic beverages. LOC: 1300 block of West Chester Pike Date: June 6 at 7:33 a.m.
• 43-year-old male, 200 block of Kathmere Road, Havertown. CHGS: Simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct. LOC: 200 block of Kathmere Road Date: June 8, 9:05 p.m.
• 40-year-old male, 200 block of Kathmere Road, Havertown. CHGS: Simple assault and harassment. LOC: 200 block of Kathmere Road Date: June 8 at 12:02 p.m.
• 34-year-old male, 700 block of Childs Avenue, Drexel Hill. CHGS: Possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia LOC: Burmont and Steel Roads Date: June 10, 2:23 p.m.
• 25-year-old female, 1400 block of Windsor Park Lane, Havertown. CHGS: Simple assault and harassment. LOC: 1400 block of Windsor Park Lane Date: June 11, 7 p.m.
