Haverford Police Blotter: Assault, Burglary, Fraud, More
Police said a home on the 300 block of Ardmore Avenue was broken into and had jewelry stolen. See details on this and other crimes here.

HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Haverford Township released their latest crime blotter Thursday, Feb. 14.
The blotter covers incidents that occurred in the township between Feb. 5 and Feb. 12.
Police handled thefts, a burglary, a bomb threat, vandalism, and more.

INCIDENTS:
- Aggravated Assault at Haverford High School, 200 block of Mill Road, on Feb. 5 at 10:53 a.m. – Police were dispatched to the office after a fight between two juvenile students which lead to a teacher being hit during the altercation. A white male, 14, was taken into custody.
- Theft at the 1200 block of Dermond Road on Feb. 5 at 11 a.m. – Victim reported that her unlocked vehicle was entered on January 25th – numerous gift cards were stolen.
- Fraud at the 300 block of Kathmere Road on Feb. 5 at 4:40 p.m. – Victim reported that an unknown person changed the amount and the name on a check without her knowledge and cashed it.
- Identity Theft at the 300 block of Sagamore Road on Feb. 5 at 12:30 p.m. – Three credit card accounts were opened using the victim’s identity without her permission or knowledge.
- Criminal Mischief at the 100 block of Friendship Road on Feb. 5 at 9:29 p.m. – Victim reported that an unknown black male and two white males threw eggs at his residence.
- Burglary at the 300 block of Ardmore Avenue on Feb. 6 at 7:30 p.m. – Forced entry was gained through the second floor balcony. Jewelry was stolen from the bedroom.
- Bomb Threat at Haverford High School, 200 block of Mill Road, on Feb. 6 at 2:07 p.m. – threatening graffiti was discovered.
- Fraud at Giant, 100 block of W. Township Line Road, on Feb. 6 at 1:39 p.m. – Two black females purchased a large amount of gift cards. The suspects attempted nine transactions and only three were successful for a total loss to Giant of $3,059.22.
- Theft at the 1500 block of Melrose Avenue on Feb. 7 at 11:55 a.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered – phone charger, toys and a wallet containing numerous gift cards and medical cards was stolen.
- Simple Assault at the Haverford Middle School, 1700 block of Darby Road, on Feb. 7 at 11:45 a.m. – Two students were in class when an argument erupted. The argument became physical and the two students were separated.
- Criminal Mischief at the 1400 block of Virginia Avenue on Feb. 8 at 2:06 p.m. – Vehicle tire was slashed, hood was dented and the headlight was damaged.
- Disorderly Conduct at the 1000 block of Darby Road on Feb. 8 at 7:49 p.m. – Police were dispatched to the above location for a disorderly subject banging his head on the Township Building glass doors. Police located the male and immediately detected a strong odor of alcohol coming from his person. The suspect became aggressive with police and resisted arrest. A white male, 20, was arrested.
- Fraud at the 200 block of Rodmor Road on Feb. 9 at 12:30 p.m. – Victim paid a contractor to complete renovations – the work was not completed.
- Aggravated Assault at Rose Tree Lane and Glen Gary Drive on Feb. 12 at 8:17 p.m. – Police responded to the area for a male gunshot victim in the roadway. The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment. A white male, 17, was arrested.
- Retail Theft at Kohl’s, 200 block of West Chester Pike, on Feb. 12 at 12:11 p.m. – A black male fled the business with a bag full of unpaid merchandise.
- Retail Theft at Lowe’s, 100 block of W. Township Line Road, on Feb. 12 at 3:50 p.m. – Black female, 32, 300 block of Sycamore Avenue, Clifton Heights was cited for the retail theft of $39.98 worth of merchandise.
- Identity Theft at the 1300 block of Leedom Road on Feb. 12 at 4:02 p.m. – Victim received and email claiming to be from PayPal asking for her personal information. The victim provided the information and was later notified by her bank that unauthorized charges were attempted.

- Black male, 42, 900 block of S. 4th Street, Philadelphia. Charges: Possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Location: 900 block of West Chester Pike. Date: Jan. 31 at 4:24 p.m.
- Hispanic male, 32, unit block of N. 13th Street, Allentown.Charges: Warrant. Location: 400 block of Colfax Road. Date: Feb. 8 at 1:28 a.m.
- White male, 41, 2000 block of Kent Road, Folcroft. Charges: DUI, possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Location: Crescent Hill Road and Rose Tree Lane. Date: Feb. 8 at 7:20 a.m.
- Black male, 21, 1500 block of N. Alden Street, Philadelphia. Charges: Aggravated assault, DUI, terroristic threats, harassment and unregistered vehicle. Location: 100 block of W. Township Line Road. Date: Feb. 10 at 1:36 a.m.
- Black female, 30, unit block of N. Dearborn Street, Philadelphia. Charges: Theft by deception and receiving stolen property. Location: Lowe’s, 100 block of W. Township Line Road,. Date: Feb. 12 at 3:50 p.m.
- White male, 14, was petitioned to juvenile court. Charges: Aggravated assault, harassment and disorderly conduct. Location: Haverford High School, 200 block of Mill Road. Date: Feb. 5 at 10:53 a.m.
