The blotter covers police-handled incidents that occurred between March 7 and March 12.

Notably, police dealt with several fraud cases, numerous thefts, a stolen vehicle, and assault.

INCIDENTS:

  • Fraud at the 400 block of Lawrence Road on March 7 at 7:39 p.m. – Victim received a call from an unknown male claiming to be from the Social Security Administration Office. The victim provided the caller with her social security number and $20,000 worth of gift cards before realizing it was a scam.
  • Fraud at Haverford Township Building on March 7 at 11:50 a.m. – An unknown person attempted to make unauthorized purchases with the Lowe’s business account.
  • Criminal Mischief at the 2000 block of West Chester Pike on March 7 at 6:43 p.m. – White male, 24, 900 block of Spring Haven Road, Springfield, was cited with disorderly conduct and white male, 28, 4800 block of N. 5th Street, Philadelphia, was cited with criminal mischief, disorderly conduct and harassment.
  • Theft at the 700 block of Millbrook Lane on March 8 at 5:45 p.m. – Victim reported that someone intercepted a check made out for $2,693.01 and cashed it via ATM.
  • Disorderly Conduct at Darby and Princeton Roads on March 8 at 2:45 p.m. – White female, 16, and white female, 15, were cited for disorderly conduct.
  • Attempted Theft at the 300 block of West Chester Pike on March 9 at 10:49 a.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered – nothing was reported missing.
  • Motor Vehicle Theft at the 100 block of Tenby Road on March 9 at 8:26 a.m.
  • Identity Theft at the 300 block of Greenbriar Lane on March 9 at 2:28 p.m. – Victim reported that someone opened a T-Mobile account using his identity and charged the account $497.53.
  • Retail Theft at Wine and Spirits, 1300 block of West Chester Pike, on March 10 at 7:04 p.m. – A black female stole a bottle of tequila and fled the store.
  • Theft at the 400 block of Wynne Avenue on March 10 at 9:09 a.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered – loose change was stolen.
  • Theft at the 400 block of Heatherwood Road on March 10 at 10:12 a.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered – a purse as stolen. The purse was recovered.
  • Theft at the 100 block of Brentwood Road on March 10 at 3:52 p.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered – a purse was stolen. The purse was recovered.
  • Attempted Theft at the 100 block of Brentwood Road on March 10 at 4:35 a.m. – Vehicle was entered – nothing was reported missing.
  • Identity Theft at the 500 block of Upland Road on March 10 at 2:28 p.m. – Victim reported that someone opened a Verizon account using his identity.
  • Theft at Wyndmoor Apartments, 100 block of S. Eagle Road, on March 11 at 4:36 p.m. – Hub cap was stolen from a vehicle.
  • Theft at the 600 block of Penfield Avenue on March 11 at 9:09 a.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered – loose change and keys were stolen.
  • Theft at the 700 block of Penfield Avenue on March 11 at 9:39 a.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered – loose change was stolen.
  • Simple Assault at Barnaby’s, 1900 block of Old West Chester Pike, on March 11 at 6:07 p.m. – Victim reported that he was assaulted by an unknown person while he was paying his tab.
  • Fraud at the 1900 block of West Chester Pike on March 11 at 11:22 a.m. – Victim reported seventeen unauthorized charges made from his credit union between Jan. 25 and March 8.
  • Theft at the 100 block of Harvard Road on March 12 at 5:05 p.m. – Four extension cords were stolen from the bed of a truck.

  • White male, 20, 5000 block of Whittaker Avenue, Philadelphia. Charges: Indirect criminal contempt. Location: 1300 block of Darby Road. Date: Feb. 21 at 9:30 a.m., incident occurred on Jan. 29,
  • White female, 29, 100 block of W. Broadway Avenue, Clifton Heights. Charges: Retail theft, corruption of minors and receiving stolen property. Location: Kohl’s, 200 block of West Chester Pike. Date: Feb. 27 at 9:20 a.m., incident occurred on Dec. 28.
  • Black male, 25, unit block of Watchic Road, Standish, Maine. Charges: Forgery, bad checks and theft by deception. Location: TD Bank, 100 block of W. Eagle Road. Date: March 4 10:06 a.m.
  • White male, 30, 1900 block of Brandywine Street, Philadelphia. Charges: DUI, restrictions on alcoholic beverages and stop sign violation. Location: Vincent Road and Bryan Street. Date: March 8 at 1:31 p.m.
  • White male, 27, 500 block of Circle Drive, Havertown. Charges: Theft by unlawful taking, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Location: 500 block of Circle Drive. Date: March 9 at 4:16 p.m.
  • Black female, 21, 3800 block of N. 17th Street, Philadelphia. Charges: Aggravated assault, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, harassment, burglary, criminal trespass, possessing instrument of crime, theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property and criminal mischief. Location: Haverford Hills, 400 block of Glendale Road. Date: March 11 at 4:21 p.m.
  • White male, 18, 800 block of Valley Road, Havertown. Charges: Possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Location: 400 block of Brentwood Road. Date: March 12 at 2:16 a.m.
  • Black female, 18, 300 block of S. Monroe Street, Media. Charges: Forgery and theft by deception. Location: Kid to Kid, 1200 block of Township Line Road. Date: March 12 at 3:02 p.m.
  • Black male, 24, 1700 block of S. 5th Street, Philadelphia. Charges: Forgery and theft by deception. Location: Kid to Kid. Date: March 12 at 3:02 p.m.
