Haverford Police Blotter: Burglaries, Thefts, Vandalism, More

HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA – The latest Haverford Township Police Department crime blotter is out.

The report covers incidents handled, arrests made, and citations issued between Aug. 21 to Sept. 4.

Police handled several burglary cases – and in one case a gun was stolen – as well as thefts, disorderly conduct, public drunkenness, and more.

INCIDENTS

• Theft at the unit block of W. Golf View Road on Aug. 29 at 11:37 a.m. – Four oriental rugs were stolen.
• Theft at the 600 block of Woodland Drive on Aug. 29 at 6:52 p.m. – Prescription medication was stolen.
• Criminal Mischief at the 800 block of Woodland Drive on Aug. 29 at 8:15 a.m. – Victim reported that a rock was thrown at her vehicle while she was driving causing damage to the windshield.
• Criminal Mischief at the unit block of E. Clearfield Avenue on Aug. 29 at 6:34 p.m. – Vehicle rear window was damaged while it was legally parked.
• Burglary at the 5000 block of Brittany Lane on Aug. 30 at 10:17 a.m. – Forced entry was gained through a basement window. A handgun, television, laptop and jewelry was stolen.
• Burglary at the unit block of Claremont Boulevard on Aug. 30 at 4:56 p.m. – Entry was gained through a rear door. Jewelry was stolen from the master bedroom.
• Bicycle Theft at Haverford Hills Condominiums (400 block of Glendale Road) on Aug. 30 at 11:49 a.m.
• Liquor Law Violation at the 300 block of Walnut Place on Aug. 31 at 10:05 p.m. – White male, 15, was cited for underage drinking.
• Burglary at the 100 block of Charles Drive on Sept. 1 at 11:02 p.m. – Entry was gained through an unlocked rear door. Approximately $200 in coins and jewelry was stolen.
• Attempted Burglary at the 1600 block of Winton Avenue on Sept. 1 at 10:02 a.m.
• Bicycle Theft at the unit block of Bennington Road on Sept. 1 at 8:24 a.m.
• Theft at the Quadrangle (3300 block of Darby Road) on Sept. 1 at 12:09 a.m. – A wallet containing driver’s license, access card, two debit cards and a gift card was stolen from the kitchen.
• Public Drunkenness at the 1900 block of Old West Chester Pike on Sept. 2 at 4:13 a.m. – White female, 24, 3600 block of Century Lane, Chadds Ford was cited for public drunkenness.
• Disorderly Conduct at Haverford Road and Hathaway Lane on Sept. 2 at 2:03 p.m. – White male, 57, unit block of Sugar Knoll Drive, Devon was cited for disorderly conduct.
• Burglary at the 200 block of Washington Avenue on Sept. 3 at 7:55 a.m. – Entry was gained through an unsecured window. Three cell phones and a streaming device was stolen.
• Public Drunkenness at the 2000 block of West Chester Pike on Sept. 3 at 1:46 a.m. – White male, 21, 300 block of Ashwood Road, Springfield was cited for public drunkenness.
• Theft at the Quadrangle (3300 block of Darby Road) on Sept. 4 at 4:01 p.m. – Victim reported jewelry stolen from her nightstand.
• Theft at the 400 block of Harrington Road on Sept. 4 at 11:15 a.m. – Vehicle hub cap was stolen.
• Identity Theft at the 1700 block of Robinson Avenue on Sept. 4 at 5:28 p.m. – Victim reported that an unknown person opened a Sprint and Verizon account using his identity.

ARRESTS:

• Black female, 26, 1600 block of Powell Road, Brookhaven. Charges: DUI, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Location: 1100 block of West Chester Pike. Date: Aug. 25 at 9:52 p.m.
• White male, 36, 400 block of Hampshire Drive, Broomall. Charges: Retail theft and public drunkenness. Location: Giant (100 block of W. Township Line Road). Date: Aug. 29 at 2 p.m.
• White male, 29, 1200 block of Sheridan Street, Camden City, NJ. Charges: Theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property and unauthorized use of automobile. Location: Lowe’s (100 block of W. Township Line Road) Date: Aug. 31 at 3 p.m. (incident occurred on Feb. 27).
• White male, 42, 1400 block of Johnson Road, Havertown. Charges: Warrant. Location: unit block of E. Eagle Road. Date: Sept. 1 at 2:44 p.m.
• White male, 31, 3200 block of Township Line Road, Drexel Hill. Charges: Retail theft and criminal conspiracy. Location: Giant (100 block of W. Township Line Road). Date: Sept. 3 at 7:25 a.m.
• White male, 55, 2300 block of E. Harold Street, Philadelphia. Charges: Retail theft, criminal conspiracy and prohibited offensive weapons. Location: Giant. Date: Sept. 3 at 7:25 a.m.
• Black female, 32, 7200 block of Gillespie Street, Philadelphia. Charges: Retail theft and receiving stolen property. Location: Acme (1300 block of West Chester Pike). Date: Sept. 4 at 8:57 p.m.
• White male, 17 was petitioned to juvenile court. Charges: Terroristic threats, disorderly conduct and harassment. Location: Haverford High School (200 block of Mill Road). Date: Aug. 21 at 11:42 a.m.
• Black male, 14, was petitioned to juvenile court. Charges: Possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Location: 100 block of W. Township Line Road. Date: Aug. 30 at 2:15 p.m.
